1. Will I be able to keep my same cell phone number if I switch and what steps do I need to take to do so?
2. How secure are the hotspots when not on cellular (e.g for banking or online purchasing)? Is there a recommendation to better secure your phone?
Background: Been with same provider since my first cellular purchase. Seen my grandfathered unlimited plan bump up in price and would entertain a new provider. Hoping not to get slammed with what might seem to the masses as obvious questions - but I'm sure there are others out there wondering the same thing. TIA.
Today morning I did call the XM customer service, and they were able to help me port, order phone, and get the giftcard codes applied.
Can't wait to get my new S8+, and move to a better network than T-mobile (hopefully).
I been call couple time to request email. All the rep said that they can't send out email but they do see 500 gift card on the system

Xfinity hotspots are secure. xfinity provides very little. big X vs small x.
