just a heads up, alot of shoprites will not accept a credit card to pay for gift cards so you will have to bring cash

Can you buy Shoprite gift cards to qualify? They are usually excluded. If you can't, and you can buy Visa and MCard, do they have activation and other fees?
Can you use money on a SR Gift Card to buy other gift cards?

for the above questions it's YMMV on the reps at the service desk - those T&C usually exclude SR giftcards - but yes, they have printed out before as i've done it, not realizing they were supposed to be excluded.

typically SR Gift Cards are excluded, the $14mm I posted INCLUDED the activation fee on a Visa/AMEX/MC ($5.95 on a $100 card)

I have found that the gift cards for gas stations don't have an activation fee, but it is a YMMV if your store has them and if there is that brand of gas station near your home or work.

I have always found that you can use a CC to purchase the gift cards, so if you happen to have a card that offers 5% cash back at grocery stores, then a visa or MC gift card fees are offset.

In the past you had to use your "price plus" card - so it is usually one per rewards card. If your family members have their own cards then you can do multiple transactions - but this may vary store to store.

Super slick with the Amex offers (YMMv), spend $75 and get 1500 ($15) in points....Slick deal, basically, $65 for a $100 gift card! Shop rite sux that they changed their giftcard vendor a few years ago and they do NOT carry amazon giftcards since then....

Are you sure, was there any sort of min spend required? i think it was $10 last year on top of the gc's
