Still hoping for that $149 deal to pop back up. Id much rather have a similar deal on the 1090's cuz those would be much more beneficial, but they dont seem to budge on those as much.

They definitely don't go on sale much. The last real sale was something like 5 years ago. I sold my old set for $400+ locally, and I had multiple potential takers. Personally, I like the smaller 552 weight set for the 2.5# increments up to 25#. That can really come in handy for exercises like skullcrushers, where it's easier to just use both dumbbells instead of one.

If you mean the issue where it'll catch on something if not perfectly centered, no that still seems to be an issue. But it's not that frequent, and when it does happen all you have to do is shift it to make it lock into place. It's nothing to really be concerned over. A mild annoyance at best that will eat up 5-10 seconds of your day per workout session.
