Any experience about quality and shutter count from beach camera refurb ?
If buying from an authorized dealer, refurbs are done by Nikon direct. So as long as your buying from an authorized dealer (which Beach Camera is) you should be good.
My D7100 and my D5100 were both bought as a refurb. I don't remember exactly but one of them came with a shutter count below 300 and the other around 1k - which is nothing for the life of the camera. Everything seemed brand new other than the white box it came in. The refurb lenses I've bought also came in seemingly new condition.

Thanks for the reply. I placed an order, will give it a try.
Disclaimer: this is going to be my first DSLR. I would say yes based on my research, because it has wireless connectivity, articulating screen, more focus points, larger LCD screen plus it is a touch screen.

I say ....for being a good photographer...none f these are important features...may be more focus points...but still i feel it is not worth extra money ...i just bought d3400 after all the considerations ...which is new for 370 body only
Ya I got this for 650 total ....d3400 body for 370$ new ....tamaron lens 70-300 mm for 104 used like new ....and Nikkor lens 35 mm for 166$ new ....I m done with beginner plus some advance photography....don't need all crazy features ...just most useful lenses will do justice to most beginner cameras , unless u are really nitpicking the picture quality , don't see a reason to spend tons of money as beginner

I say no...actual photography depends on how good you use ur camera....other features are more like luxury
Good point. I'd like to add that good glass ( good lenses) are also important.
