I would say your screen name pretty much says it all.

To compare, Micro Center has the same model except with 16GB DDR4 and a 512GB SSD for $999.

EDIT: Lenovo has the 512GB model listed above on sale for $1,268.99. However, the part number is different from the Micro Center version with the same specs.

Edited. If you are in the market for an ultraportable yet powerful laptop, this is a great deal and IMO, in someway, better than XPS 13. i7-8550 can actually match or beat the mighty 7700HQ 45W CPU in shorter bust, moth in single threaded and multi threaded benchmarks. MX150 is way more powerful than UHD 620, let you play games at low and mid settings at 1080p and very good for GPU accelerated works.

Nice, safer option than the Xiaomi notebook pro (warranty wise) and a little smaller too (display may look a little sharper as it's a smidge smaller).

Man I wish they had this in a thinkpad setup, really want a touch point.

Don't buy from Lenovo. They reduced the military discount from 15% to 5% secretly for the holiday sales season. Very insulting to all military personnel
To counter that, they have reduced the base price as well. This Laptop was nearly $900 couple of days back.

This laptop has been discounted multiple times prior to the holiday sales. It was on sale for a similar price a month back. Its just typical Lenovo dirty pool, but what can you expect from a company that still charges restocking fees
Not this one. You are confusing it with the previous version that comes with Core i7-7500U and GT 940MX.

I did my research and this seems like a good model. 800 is a little out of my budget, so waiting for BF/cyber monday deals.

Any competing models from Dell/HP that have deals?

I78550's 620 will be fine if u just watch 4K videos and play light game like LOL. 150 in this one is lower than 950.

what are the experienced people's thoughts of this vs the Dell XPS 13? Forget the screensize difference part, that's irrelevant for me.
