Really can't tell so I'm gonna run out and grab a few. The head appears to be larger then the Costco version. I own both the Coast FL75 and FL85 and they're fantastic headlamps!!!

OK, grabbed a few. They are identical to my FL85's which are rated at 600 Coast lumens. They do have the red leds and are just as bright as my FL85's. The focusing system Coast uses is awesome and goes from a nice spot to a completely smooth flood. These are quite a bit better then the twin pack available at Costco when it comes to light output. I've got a lot of good headlamps but prefer these Coasts over all of them. The one thing that might bother some users is that you have to cycle through 3 modes to turn it off but the smooth switch makes it really easy. Crazy good deal for $10.00 each if you can find them in your store!!!!!!!!

Good to know. I wonder if this is a price mistake as the single pack is already retailing for $50-60.

My store shows 65 instock

Is the light output also identical between the FL85 and FL82? The lumens ranging between the two seems pretty substantial.

I'm assuming the FL72 and FL82 are special models for Costco and Home Depot respectively that have slightly different specs so they don't compete and can't be price matched to the mainstream FL75 and FL85.

I've been comparing the Home Depot FL82 to the Costco FL72 and the light output, pattern, and size of the flood and spot are nearly identical. However, the light from the FL72 is a bit more white while the FL82 is a bit more yellow. The newer FL72 in the white and red packaging (as opposed to older yellow and red packaging) offers an additional green light to the white and red. The FL72 has a smaller body and reflective housing, which saves about an once of weight - does this help make it less noticeable on your head and a better decision with only a difference of 20 lumens?

With new batteries the FL82 and 85 are about the same brightness to my eyes and definitely brighter then the 72 & 75. The FL82 I fired up did have a cooler color then my FL85. I don't notice the difference in weight when wearing them but I do wear them on top of a ball cap. I noticed this morning that Home Depot does sell the equivalent Costco model in single packs for $20.00 each. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these but If I had to choose just one I'd go with the big boy.
