Does not come with Ethernet, but a USB Ethernet adapter is a cheap option. For example:

Latest BIOS:

The included SSD is M.2 NVMe, and so must an upgrade drive be.

The spare 2.5" drive bay is limited to 7mm-tall drives.

How to determine if you have a $50 bonus in your e rebates account for the Microsoft store: Log into your rebate account from a browser (not the Android or IOS apps). Navigate to My Account (upper right hand corner...look for your name....My Account is on the drop down list). Once in My Account, you will see Cash Back summary information at the top center. The section immediately below that is a section "Special Bonus Offer Just for You." If you're lucky, the Microsoft Store is listed as one of the bonus offers. Many people getting this bonus only got 1% basic cashback, not the listed 3.5%. Net is $55...1% for $5 and the bonus $50. The bonus does not show up along with the regular cashback on your account page. If given, the bonus $50 is listed on the bottom.

Heads up guys. my regular cash back site (e b t e s) has $50 cash back when I spend $250 or more at Microsoft store. See if yours also has. Check in account page under special bonus offers section.

Yes. Flex 5 series has both m.2 ans 2.5" slot. M.2 supports PCIe NVMe SSD as well. This is pretty solid deal. Just one piece of advice, if you are planning to run applications requiring tons of Ram, then it may not be the best choice as it only has one DDRL slot and max you can get is 16GB. Also, because of this, the Ram will never run on dual channel, hence reducing the performance of the integrated UHD 620 by a good margin.

There will always be better deals. I had gotten the i5 7200U version of this from Costco for $599 several months back. I had thought that was a good deal at the time. I think this is a good deal. Enjoy what you purchased and don't look back. My purchase has been good, I've been using it everyday since. I needed something better newer and it has been serving it's purpose.

A little Short on Hard Drive, heavier than some, otherwise a good deal!

Got one for daughter's school use. I think it's better than costco one [costco.com] which has discrete video card (2GB NVIDIA GeForce 940MX) and larger SSD (256G), but costs 300 more (or 200 more. I saw 100 discount in store in NJ last week).

What's the build quality on these? Stay away from all things "Idea" with Lenovo and usually look for "Think" series of Laptops.

Well, feeling sad after seeing this, Got the 7th Gen i5 with discrete graphics and 256GB SSD as BF deal from BH photo video for 550.
This seems like a much better deal cause the 8th Gen i5 is a major upgrade over the 7th Gen. Sure, you don't get the graphics (if you care for it) but it has a pen (making the touchscreen more functional) and makes the laptop more futureproof.

If space is an issue, you can get a 256GB SSD for ~ $75 and sell your 128 one.
