Check the reviews with pictures of the shoes falling apart. There are also complains about lack of durability on Merrell site as well.

Is the sizing still crazy with the Moab? I normally wear a 10.5, but needed to size up to a 11.5 with my last pair.

I have some Merrells about like these and they have been really durable. I would buy more but they are sold out of my size/color preferences.

Yep, the past few years I've noticed the quality has really dropped on Merrells

I have a pair of moabs that I haven't used that much. They're water resistant, but definitely not waterproof. So if you accidentally step into a puddle, your socks will get wet. Traction is just ok (don't expect to walk on wet smooth surfaces and think you won't slip. No shoe does this). Not as comfortable as I thought they would be despite having vibram (can still feel the small rocks as you walk over them). The rubberized toe box has started cracking, though I've had my pair for 3 years now and minimal use. They are sturdy but also heavy. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for pointing that out, plenty of other options available without having to deal with that.

Is it just this style or all Merrells?
