Jawdrop Holy crap Thurman is next and then I'm only 10 days after her!!! BFshopgirl is a few days after me too! Looks like we'll have alot of babies in a few weeks.

I have a doc appt Sept 11th and I'll be 35 weeks along! Then it will be time to go to the doc every week.

Roll Damn I messed up when I looked at the wiki. I was thinking hummmm isn't someone going at the end of Sept?,but I didn't see it. I blame preggo brain!

Yahoo! Yahoo! Yahoo! So I sneaked and looked at my baby registry at babies are us and someone has actually purchased stuff from it!!!!!

So far,bottles,a 7 pack of bibs,2 oz tube of Boudreaux's Butt Paste,and a Carter's snuggle me heart boa blanket has been purchased!!! Yahoo! Yahoo!

This is the first time I've ever made a registry and I was wondering if anyone was even going to get anything from it since I made it so late. Yahoo!

I'm still soooooo excited about the baby registry!! I was planning on the shower being a epic fail. Sigh I'm still not sure how it's going to turn out but at this point I'm like eh,whatever,just roll with it.

The reason I'm expecting it to be an epic fail is bc my friend kept asking me if she could throw the shower. I told her no a few times,well one time I just said ok fine if you wanna throw it you can I don't mind.

She tells me to get my friends addresses together that she doesn't know,so I do. When I tell her I have the addresses she tells me to just go ahead and buy some invitations and mail them myself. I'm like uh ok....

Then she calls me this weekend and asks me what I'm making for the shower. I told her I had no idea because I didn't know I was supposed to be making something. I told her that I can do some sandwiches with mustard. She tells me that not everyone likes mustard and to make some mayo and mustard sandwiches instead. I remind her that mayo makes me gag and almost vomit ( I'm not joking either,the smell has made me throw up) and she laughingly tells me to plug my nose while I'm making them. WTF? Huh

I asked her if we were gonna do any baby games so I can help set them up,she says that she didn't think about games and if I wanted to do the games to get everything together and the prizes and she'll help set them up. Seriously???? WTF???

So I'm really unsure where her part in this is coming when she is supposed to be throwing the shower but only buys the cake,makes some meatballs with bbq sauce,and sends out half the invitations.I'm having to foot the bill for the prizes as well,the only reason I'm ok with that is because I want my guests to have a good time while they are there and not have it seem like I'm just asking for gifts and want them to leave asap.

I say cancel, invite your friends over to your house, have the party you want to and play games. Make mustard sammiches. Since you're pretty much buying everything already for your own shower, this would be much easier. laugh out loud

My MIL threw my baby shower - there were so many people there, we didn't even have time for games. laugh out loud We had it at a park and there were probably 100 people, we BBQ'd and even had beer Cheers Mexican baby showers get out of hand.

ummmm last I checked that is not how you hostess a shower for someone. Tell your friend to pull her head out of that warm dark place pronto! Perhaps send her some links to shower etiquette. Some people have more guts than brains.

I had my 35 week appointment today (I'm 35w 3d along). They are doing the ultrasounds every week since they were worried about her size 3 weeks ago. She's gaining about 1/2 pound a week so that's right on track so they think she'll just be a little smaller but still just fine. I have to keep having the biophyiscal ultrasound done every week so they can continue to monitor her though.

I also had my strep test thing. I thought it would be next week so I was totally unprepared for it. DH didn't understand what the big deal was and why I'd need to be prepared for such a thing. Dr. checked while she was down there and I'm 1-2cm and 50% effaced so that could me nothing or could mean she's coming a little early... who knows.look around

Oh and apparently her head is way down in my pelvis but she hasn't "dropped" yet.

What do they estimate her weight to be Redwing? My boy was a shrimpola at 6lbs 9oz

Too late to cancel now unfortunately.The party is at my house because she lives pretty far away,it'd be about an hour drive for everyone to go to her house. At my house it's pretty much a central location. I went to the dollar tree and bought lotions,baby wash,bottles,etc for the gifts. Since it was all going to come back to me anyway I decided what the hell. I printed off baby games from the net that I could do with supplies I have at home as well Smilie

I am not making mayo sandwiches and I'm just going to put mayo out for anyone to use if they want to. If anyone says anything I'm going to tell them that it makes me vomit and I don't want to be sick all day from smelling it. If they don't like it GTFO of my house because obviously you aren't there for me or the baby anyway. Mad

Yes,this is not how you host a shower. I should have just waited and let my mom plan the shower but my mom didn't tell me that she wanted to throw me a shower until after I told my friend she could.

She'll be fine RW Smilie She's gaing weight like she's supposed to. Take this time to pig out on fattening food and just tell everyone you're trying to fatten up the baby Coverlaugh

Woohoo! 4 weeks from today for me and 14 or 19 days of work left including today, depending on if I decide my last day will be the 18th or the 25th. Although, I'm wondering if she'll decide to make an early debut... Thurs. I was 1-2cm and 50% effaced and lost my mucus plug over the weekend (sorry, probably TMI Embarrassment but it's meaning things are moving in the right direction at least).

Well, this baby isn't allowed to come early. I refuse to come back to work before January 4th, and in order to make that happen, I have to have her on or AFTER 10/1. LOL! My DD was due 2/9/06, I was induced 2/8 and she came on 2/9- I'm sure this one will be equally stubborn. If not, I may invest in a cork. LMAO!

Near the end of my last preg, I was 2 cm, 70% or so effaced, and lost my plug...Stayed that way for 3-4 weeks. Not to be a downer...but your plug can also grow back. Yay, huh?

Hope baby comes soon for you. I haven't been checked yet, will start internals at my 37 week appt next Friday.
