When I started here we had about 13 remote contractors,.. mods and deal editors.
We now have 41 and growing and we have 3 teams.. mods, deal editors and the qa team.
We just brought on a new QA person they are in training, we need another mod and another DE.
So... 43..soon.
And some love it so much, they even come back
I guess I am the only one getting paid. See yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Surprising it's not posted in The Podium that has the most thought-provoking posts, and done so between people who are surprisingly polite to each other despite so often having different ideas.
shhh she hasn't noticed yet

I'm still thinking that one of these days they'll say it was a long game April Fools joke.
You're over qualified.
Let me hear more about your feelings
I'm surprised such unprofessionalism is encouraged, as well as covered up for each other by the moderator good ol' boys/girls club.

Of course my replies in here are different from replies in the main forums.
That said, I do not bash or subscribe to any such "club" as you mentioned. If you spend any significant amount of time in here you will learn that.
Peace and truce.

I checked with the other club members. It's an unwritten rule that we can't talk about.
Or, as said...the lounge is as unique as the podium. See how I used part of my name there? Cool, huh?
Regardless...I'd say we are fortunate that both exist on a deal forum. Especially as this one grows exponentially and we try to retain some of the charm that got us there (by charm, I also was referring to me).

Many forum site had/have volunteer moderators.
It's more of a rarity these days though.
My first two jobs were volunteer. But then I took that experience and was a CM for an animation website. Where I worked with Paul Dini and Cartoon Network. Back in the day volunteering was a great way to get experience. It paid off it you were good and stuck with it. Now they want someone who has seen it all and can do it all. Which works out good for me, so I am always working.
