It seems like some variation of the Moto G5 is on sale every week & it's difficult to keep track of what is an actual deal. I believe this has been available at a lower price recently. At this point I think I'm just going to wait for the Moto G6 and hope that Lenovo finally ditches micro USB and instead goes with USB-C.

For those of you first looking at this Moto G5 Plus, there are a few things to be aware of:
The 64 gig storage model has 4 gigs of ram
The 32 gig storage model has 3 gigs of ram
It is a 5.2" phone (nearly the same exact size as a Samsung Galaxy S6)

There is also a 5.5" phone but that is the Moto G5s Plus (note the S after G5). It also comes in 32 and 64 gig storage, also with 3 and 4 gigs of ram respectively.

These are sold as either "with ads" or "without ads", obviously you will usually pay more for the "without ads" version. When I bought mine, the 64 gigs "without ads" one was $239. In that thread many people were saying that the ads are only on the lock screen and were NOT any sort of inconvenience (I have not researched this).

On to quality: I've only had my phone for a little over 3 months now but it's been rock solid. It runs everything I've thrown at it without problems. The single exception was that Dolphin internet browser was crashing for about a week, but I read others were experiencing problems on other phones too, so it likely was a Dolphin fail, not a Moto fail. It does everything I expect a smart phone to do. I'm used to using a Samsung phone so the different camera and album apps took a little getting used to, but nothing terrible. The built in album editor was lacking several things I use so I downloaded and use Simple Gallery. Many report that the built in camera app does not work well either, so I also have "Open Camera" but don't use it much.
