Welcome to the official SD Coca-Cola.com/offers / Formerly My Coke Rewards Discussion Thread, proud to talk rewards since 2006! (We often discuss Coke promotions, (texting games, sweepstakes, etc.), which use Coke/MCR/codes or membership info to signup.)

Site: https://us.coca-cola.com/offers

A toast to My Coke Rewards, the Greatest Rewards Program in History! Applause

Coca-Cola.com Offers FAQ, (Formerly My Coke Rewards [MCR]):

- How may I contact them?
  • Phone: 800-520-2653 to reach an agent directly
  • email address: [email protected]
  • Ask Chip, your virtual agent, (formerly Allysa and Hank) on the site footer under the CONTACT US link.
- When does the promotion end?

There is no specific end date for the program.

- Inactivity

Each particular Coke promotion may have its own activity clause.

- Participating Products:
Barq's, Coke, Coke Zero, Dasani, Diet Coke, Fanta, Fresca, Mellow Yellow, Minute Maid, Powerade & Powerade Zero, Fuze, Pibb, Sprite, Seagram's, Tab.

- Values:
Point values per code are no more, All codes are equal value, but check promotion. Check packaging for a MyCokeRewards Label! Not all Coke packages have the MCR logo, (i.e. 6-pack w/glass bottles).
However, in Coke's Give Program to schools, codes still have different values to school donations, see wiki below!

- List of Accepted MCR Letter & Number Code Characters & Character Substition

There are 25 total characters, (letters or numbers only), that are accepted in 14-character MCR codes, (out of 36 available, A-Z, and 1-0). Five of the characters may also be input as substitutions for other similar-looking characters. Either upper- or lower-case letters are accepted. The available characters are:

Letters: B F H J K L M N P R T V W X (No C D E G* I O* Q S* U* Y Z)
Numbers: 4 5 6 7 9 0 (No 1 2 3 8*)

* The five accepted substitute characters for similar-looking characters:
  • B = 8
  • V = U
  • 5 = S
  • 6 = G
  • 0 = O (Zero, '0', is the officially accepted character according to MCR error messages; letter 'O' is the substitute.)

- Where do you find all the codes?
Here are a few ways...
- drink soda
- participate/lurk on this board
- ask friends/family/neighbors/co-workers to save
- dumpster diving
- jumping out of cars upon seeing flaps on the side of the road
- referring a friend on the site
- ask Maids to save for those who travel
- ask recycling centers to save
- purchase on eBay
- sporting events, zoos, parks, etc
- make trades
- become buddies with vending machine stockers
- become the vending machine stocker

It's a stupid system though, because you load the gift card and it needs to email you the access number. So show the gift card on the app to cashier (which you've alreadyverified with pin to load it) then close it out to load your email with the access code for the cashier? Or have the access code written down? Seems easier to show the page with the gift card and code all on one page and forget the app. Annoying you have to use them one at a time. Walmart Pay is much better design.

Please correct me if I'm wrong
I went to physical store today and put mine on a plastic card. You can combine multiple paper onto one plastic. Easier for me to hand cashier one plastic card than deal with app.

Does the cashier have to enter the access code for each one?

Yes, but my cashier was very efficient and it didn't take long. She scanned bar code and then was prompted for access code.

If you've got several paper gift cards that you're trying to combine, you can speed the process up a bit by reading the access code to the cashier after the bar code is scanned.

Also, you can buy a Target gift card at self checkout which can avoid the possible hassle of the occasional cashier who won't process the transaction because they assert that you can't buy a gift card with a gift card (which is not true for buying Target gift cards with Target gift cards).

Another benefit of combining the paper gift cards onto a single physical card is that you can then use the combined balance on Target.com, which limits transaction payment to a maximum of four Target gift cards.

I did offer to read the access codes to her, but she said it was no problem and was very efficient about it. I thought about self-check, but I figured I'd give it a try at the manned register as there was no wait in the manned line.

It's pretty straightforward.
  1. Start the self-checkout transaction by scanning the back of the card you're purchasing.
  2. The POS terminal will prompt you to enter the value you wish to load onto the card; enter the amount.
  3. Press the "Pay Now" button (or whatever it's labeled) when you're ready to complete the transaction.
  4. Choose gift card as payment type.
  5. Use the hand-held scanner to scan the bar code on your paper gift card.
  6. Enter the access code for the gift card when prompted.
  7. The amount due will decrease by the value of the card you just scanned.
  8. Repeat steps 4-6 as necessary.
  9. Once your amount due hits $0, you're done, and the receipt will print.
There was a time when the terminal would prompt for an employee to login enter the access code, but a recent POS software update has eliminated that need. I presume the software update has gone to all stores, but YMMV.

ETA, I don't even bother printing the e-gift cards. Instead, I just bring up the eGCs in the photo gallery on my smart phone after I've browsed each eGC and snapped a screenshot in advance.

I was using two phones and the mello yello took at least 40 tries ... small larger angled sun shadow every other code in between trying it and it finally would take it out of the blue ... it was e x h a u s t i n g

I don't think so. Coke just introduced sip&scan last year. I think packaging is slow to catch up. I still see MCR logos on some bottles and multi-pack cartons.

sip & scan is actually a form of qr code. QR code is just detecting shapes and colors to recognize a code. S&S is exactly the same.
That's interesting, as I've *never* had a problem scanning QR codes of any kind. The Sip & Scan icons, though? Ridiculous. I have a hard time believing they're cut from the same cloth based on my experience.

If we had taken pics with a real camera and posted them vs a crappy cell phone pic I think we would have had an easier time of it
