Welcome to the official SD Coca-Cola.com/offers / Formerly My Coke Rewards Discussion Thread, proud to talk rewards since 2006! (We often discuss Coke promotions, (texting games, sweepstakes, etc.), which use Coke/MCR/codes or membership info to signup.)

Site: https://us.coca-cola.com/offers

A toast to My Coke Rewards, the Greatest Rewards Program in History! Applause

Coca-Cola.com Offers FAQ, (Formerly My Coke Rewards [MCR]):

- How may I contact them?
  • Phone: 800-520-2653 to reach an agent directly
  • email address: [email protected]
  • Ask Chip, your virtual agent, (formerly Allysa and Hank) on the site footer under the CONTACT US link.
- When does the promotion end?

There is no specific end date for the program.

- Inactivity

Each particular Coke promotion may have its own activity clause.

- Participating Products:
Barq's, Coke, Coke Zero, Dasani, Diet Coke, Fanta, Fresca, Mellow Yellow, Minute Maid, Powerade & Powerade Zero, Fuze, Pibb, Sprite, Seagram's, Tab.

- Values:
Point values per code are no more, All codes are equal value, but check promotion. Check packaging for a MyCokeRewards Label! Not all Coke packages have the MCR logo, (i.e. 6-pack w/glass bottles).
However, in Coke's Give Program to schools, codes still have different values to school donations, see wiki below!

- List of Accepted MCR Letter & Number Code Characters & Character Substition

There are 25 total characters, (letters or numbers only), that are accepted in 14-character MCR codes, (out of 36 available, A-Z, and 1-0). Five of the characters may also be input as substitutions for other similar-looking characters. Either upper- or lower-case letters are accepted. The available characters are:

Letters: B F H J K L M N P R T V W X (No C D E G* I O* Q S* U* Y Z)
Numbers: 4 5 6 7 9 0 (No 1 2 3 8*)

* The five accepted substitute characters for similar-looking characters:
  • B = 8
  • V = U
  • 5 = S
  • 6 = G
  • 0 = O (Zero, '0', is the officially accepted character according to MCR error messages; letter 'O' is the substitute.)

- Where do you find all the codes?
Here are a few ways...
- drink soda
- participate/lurk on this board
- ask friends/family/neighbors/co-workers to save
- dumpster diving
- jumping out of cars upon seeing flaps on the side of the road
- referring a friend on the site
- ask Maids to save for those who travel
- ask recycling centers to save
- purchase on eBay
- sporting events, zoos, parks, etc
- make trades
- become buddies with vending machine stockers
- become the vending machine stocker

I've been using my Target GCs to my advantage. Here in Michigan, we have a law that keeps stores honest in their pricing: if an item rings up for *more* than the listed price, you receive the difference, plus 10X the difference in cash, with a minimum bounty of $1 and maximum of $5. I've used my GCs to buy a couple of items at different Targets and get cash back, plus the items.

Can you return the item and still keep the money?

I suppose I could, but I find that to be uncouth. I have standards about it, and one of those standards is that I only use the Bounty Law on things I would actually use or purchase for my own life. In other words, I won't use it on, say, cheese, because I *hate* cheese, and would never buy it in any case. However: chocolate bars and fruit fig bars? No problems with those!

You don't know the price is messed up until they ring it up, so it would have to be something you buy right? So if you don't buy cheese not much chance of you ever knowing the price is messed up on cheese?

I check on the store scanners when I see a price that I think is off kilter.

OK so if it's on the shelf for $1.99 and you scan the price at $2.99 you are pretty sure it will be $2.99 when you check out? In that case I would be thinking how many can I get in a cart. LOL

That because the Mello Yello Slip & Scan image that everyone is using NOT an image taken off recent Mello Yello packaging. Look carefully at the pattern of the broken rings and compare them to the ring pattern on Coke Classic. They are identical! If you have already scanned in Coke Classic, it will not accept that old Mello Yello image unless there is a glitch in the pattern recognition software. The reason so many people get stuck at four is that there are only four distinct ring patterns in the six images that everyone has been using. Look at them closely. Only the ring pattern counts, not color. Three of the six are identical.

Right, but you're limited to one bounty per item/transaction. So the cart full o' bounty items doesn't apply: the law sees to that, too. The idea is to keep stores honest, which is what I like about the law. Years ago, they had to individually price items, but now they don't have to do that anymore, and they're *still* trying to get away with it, so I'm pretty merciless about it. Have a price, stick to it. It's not that hard.

I usually just do one bounty item per store visit, but if the pricing issue hasn't been addressed before the next time I go, I have no problem doing it again until they finally do something about it.

Wouldn't work for me. Driving to Michigan would be like Kramer and Newman trying to cash in on the bottle deposit. LOL

Can't wait for the Target app update that adds gift cards to the "Wallet".

Noticed I was able to put more than five gift cards on my Walmart account. I have my Savings Catcher card and put nine used cards on my account and it looks like I can still add more.
I had 10 Walmart gift cards loaded on to my account but Walmart Pay wouldn't work. I had to turn off 5 of them and then it worked.

Sure seems like there a lot of people stressing over how to best use their $5 Target gift cards. Good grief. Just sounds like way too much of a pain in the rear to me. If I am not able to trade my gift cards for Amazon, then I will just purchase stuff online for store pickup. I don't need the aggravation.

Dilly Dilly Peace
Not really, for me it's easy peasy. Scored my big haul tonight at Wally's for the past IWG. Followed the same directions as posted on this forum thread and it worked flawlessly. Of course you would never know that if you believed everything that was posted in this thread. Plan to do the same with Target. Time for another Coke on the rocks with a splash of Gold! laugh out loud

I am a former couponer so I am a true believer in YMMV. So I both believe the success stories and the difficulties people have with the gift cards. What works for someone in one store might not work for someone else in another, especially a store in another state.

I don't really like to shop at Target so it is definitely not a high priority for me to try out these gift cards. More often than not, converting these gift cards into Amazon results in cash in my pocket. I have several family members that come to me whenever they need something purchased online. My brother's most recent request turned $160 of my Amazon balance into cash. I will take a scenario like that every single time over printing e-giftcards and taking them to the store hoping I don't get jammed up somehow.

On the topic of drinking, I am trying a different rum tonight. Smilie

Congrats for your endeavors. For us it worked flawlessly to follow directions posted in this thread on cashing egift cards. We have major hauls with Walmart and Target. The receipt printed at Wally's was very long and the attendant came over to scope out the situation. I have no problem with that, but if they step over the line then that is a problem. My other, has a major problem with me indulging, but I reminder her that the liquor and mixer is absolutely free because of this thread!

Agree with you on this as well. The problem with a lot of it is often either machine acts goofy or the employees don't know what they're doing. If I can shop online and then do pickup in store that is better since I know exactly how I am paying. I've had situations where I tried to use a $25 printed walmart gift card....at walmart...and the cashier said they don't accept gift cards and literally refused to scan it. I actually had to pay with credit card....wow lol. If they can get self-checkouts installed in every store, that'd be great!
