I'm pretty sure I learned through Microsoft's Club Live through a friend who learned it through here. We were all lurkers at some point. So I just don't get the animosity toward them.
And not to harp on the sip and scan versus unlimited codes, but I have a question for these who get mad at that. you say you want fairness...so, what if Coke brought back the points system, and got rid of Sip and Scan, but also got rid of codes and changed it to a system similar to Ibotta or Savings Catcher where you had to enter a code or take a picture of a receipt that showed that you actually purchased a Coke. Can't get any more fair than that. It would distribute points or game chances proportional to the amount of money you spend on Coke throughout the year. And then the program would be more like what Coke wanted in the first place - a loyalty program. Not a cap scavenger hunt.
How many of you with unlimited caps would be OK with that 100% fair method? My guess is none of you. Because while it is undoubtedly the most fair, it is not fair to YOU.
Yes...I love Sip and Scan. Because even though based on what I read here, I probably actually spend more money on Coke that 75% of people here, I get almost exclusively 12 packs because I buy it for the soda, not the codes. And even though I know I have to cut back for my health, I will not complain and say "Now there's no reason to buy Coke anymore." when the program officially ends. So I have a disproportionately low number of codes compared to most people here who actually give Coke much less money in business.
This is a moot point for the upcoming (hopefully) holiday game anyway. Even before Sip and Scan, they had been starting the AMOE (which is required by law) on the same day as the contest. So all the Sip and Scan did last year was make it less of a nuisance by allowing us to bypass the captcha.
The bottom line is that everyone here probably gets more than our fair share of goodies from Coke. With me and MCR, it was from point wins in previous holiday games rather than unpaid for codes. Now, it is from free codes being sent out and the long small, easy to win prizes in instant win games. But since I get more than my share, I sure as hell am not going to get mad that others may also get more.
New thing. Mellow Yellow Outdoor Reward Sweeps. It shows up in my Active Rewards. But when I go to claim it, it brings me to the entry screen. I am sure I entered this every day. It doesn't saw I won. It's just there. Anyone else have this issue?
For instance, The $5 McD gc runs for 11+ weeks and they are only awarding 800 of them.
The current Amazon IWG runs for 10+ weeks, and only 1000 are being awarded.
This is a current trend that I believe will continue. JMO.
Is that clear as mud?
and tell them what went wrong. Several of us who did that got a response saying that they could see it was redeemed, and would get the prize. If you did try to redeem, I would definitely forward the email. Good luck.

Sometimes, I think people here thinks that slickdeals is a top 10 internet site or something. The number of people finding out about the IW games from this site is pretty low compared to the number of people that simply know about it because they are Coke members. There are not enough people finding out about the contests to affect your chances of winning that much.
And those complaining about codes versus sip and scan are just mad that things have even edout. You are just mad that your unlimited source of unpaid for codes no longer allow you to dominate all the prizes and contests. But that is a huge reason whyMyCokeRewards doesn't exist anymore. Stop complaining just because your free ride is over. Your free ride is why we lost the good points based site in the first place. And why the point values of prices more than doubled from the start. Every cap you picked up on the street or out of a garbage or because you have a friend at a recycling center was 3 points that Coke never expected to be redeemed. When too many of those unexpected caps started entering the currency stream, it caused inflation and eventually, Coke simply decided to change the program to one where the total cost to them could be more controlled. Coke wants to spread the wealth around. If they are spending $1 million on a promo, they don't want 5000 people to get $200 worth of stuff. They want $500,000 to get $2 worth. That is also why last year's Holiday IW was a one of each prize per person, even though they are still too stupid to do something to limit people with hundreds of accounts, like say deactivating accoutns after inactivity, which would atleast cause the multiple account people to login and do something once every 2 months or so, like they had to do every 90 days with points.
Definitely true more eyeballs=more competition, no debate here. Members who know about contests/deals and don't share them with the thread but are sure to enter all the accounts they "manage" into them are selfish freeloaders. They have the audacity to suggest only they and those deemed worthy should know and none of us should share. We've all gotten deals, are entering contests or offers we otherwise would not of known about because of the benefits of crowdsourcing. It is what it is that Coke changed their rewards to primarily sweepstakes.
I think part of the issue is the transformation from a Rewards site to a Sweepstakes/IWG site. Everyone used to be able to share in the Rewards. Not everyone can share in a Sweepstakes/IWG system. I don't have a huge problem with Sip & Scan because an online AMOE would still exist without it. I do believe the online AMOE with CAPTCHA was a small deterrent, but moving to more digital rewards is what has made fraud easier, and it seems like Coke has not cracked down on bad actors as much as in the old MCR system when they were able to enforce the number of accounts because you needed to have a real shipping address to receive rewards. I don't think removing Sip & Scan solves that problem.
I think the reason the thread has become more quiet is there really isn't anything to post. Most of the Coke site is relatively straightforward. If you check the Coke.com site around 1pm ET Monday-Wednesday, you are going to get 90% of the promotions posted in this forum. And there are relatively few promotions now that are time sensitive like there were on the old MCR site where rewards would run out. Even the "Flock to Unlock" offers usually give you around 36 hours to get in on the deal.
I am relatively new to this forum and SD Coke community (been here around 6 years), but it felt like most of the discussion in the old MCR site was not about the IWG/sweepstakes but rather promotions, deals, and bonus points that everyone could share in. And the posts dealing with IWGs usually were related to site outages that created prize backups. The new site has had relatively few of those outages and backups the old site would see.
I have sent a couple rare private PMs in the distant past (at least a year or two ago in the old MCR system) but most of those dealt with promotions that were not Coke-related that didn't have a home here. I stopped posting promos in the Contests & Sweepstakes forum a long time ago as some users there rubbed me the wrong way. I don't think there are as many private PMs in the SD Coke community as some here believe, but maybe I am wrong and not in the know.
But even if there are private PMs I am not privy too, that is that person's right. I have never understood the sense of entitlement some users on SD feel to sharing of information. Posters on this forum raise a bigger stink about users not sharing information with them but care little about users using multiple accounts. It is not against the rules to keep information that you have found to yourself. It is against the rules to enter these promotions under multiple accounts.
Posters posting Coke promotions on other forums of SD are not the problem. I think people give Brandon too hard of a time. I may have some minor quibbles with his style, but it is hard to fault anyone for putting in the effort to share on SD. And the Coke site is so straightforward with multiple free sweeps/IWGs, it is hard to believe that most sweepers and users were not going to find it anyway.
To me, the real problem are the bad actors and abusers. People weren't putting promotions in PMs because someone else is posting the promo in another forum. They are careful how they share contests because the moment something gets posted here, it gets abused to point where the people who play by the rules are snuffed out by abusers of the system. I am not a saint, but I usually try to play these by the rules. Even Brandon isn't completely altruistic; many times he posts IWGs after he has won his prize and moved on to a different game. As someone who searches for promotions on my own, I think I share a decent amount on this board, but there is some stuff I will not share here, and it is not out of fear that is going to posted elsewhere on SD. It is to avoid many bad actors that are already here on this SD Coke forum.
And I have to disagree with the poster who thinks Slickdeals is some hidden gem. Goldman Sachs isn't paying $500 million for a site with low traffic and little growth. Slickdeals has become more visible to people seeking deals, but more importantly, to users who are willing to push the boundaries of the rules and law. It is only natural that a site where users are seeking good deals and loopholes will attract people who abuse the system in contests and sweepstakes.

Included in the prize package are 4 tickets to Ohio State football on this upcoming Saturday. I recall horror stories on this board from Summer game winners about not getting tickets before the date of their baseball game or the tickets were all in different rows or sections. I'm hesitant to plan and invite another couple to this game without actually having tickets in hand and know they are together. If any previous contest winners can let me know how soon before their events they received their tickets and if they contacted Hello World to "speed up" the process I'd appreciate it.

What email address did it come from? If it came from fulfillment or customer service HelloWorld email address, you should be fine with a reply. If the email came from an email that does not accept replies, you may need to add HelloWorld's customer service fulfillment email address as well. Hope that helps.
