Says coupon redeemed on account that has previously had free trial. When I get to actual subscribe screen it then says 59 days. YMMV.

Don't forget to cancel asap. I do appreciate how Google will allow an immediate cancellation buy will still allow usage of the service up until the 'renew date'.

A few things about Google's Music

They re-signed new deals with all the 3 major music companies with new compromises.
A complete rework of Google Play Music + YouTube is already in the works, should be released in 2 months.
Google Play Music will merge into YouTube Red, Vimeo being part of the talks, will also be seemlessly integrated
According to two record label companies, they'll have the ability to say what ads go on what videos but also some music videos will only be viewable via YouTube Red
Should you pay, your money will no longer go to videos made for teens, YouTube is working on proper series.
They already know it's a hot mess which is why they're dropping the current scheme
You will almost certainly not lose your playlists when they come out with the new, merged service
Yes, I agree, Spotify overall seems better right now.. but Google's algorithms are like a God vs a mere mortal, once they utilize it better, I think suggestions will dramatically improve. Hopefully a nicer UI as well.
Unlike Spotify, your Family does not need to reside in the same household, they can live absolutely anywhere! Major difference between Spotfiy and Google.
YouTube videos download slightly faster as the video length itself is shorter thanks to no ads to place in.
This also means NO commercials ever from YouTube, not on your PS4, XB1, phone - nowhere.
If you have a Smart Home, are looking into creating one, or simply have a Google Home + Chromecast - you can very easily say "Hey Google, play my ____ playlist" and it'll start to play on your TV while you clean, work out, party - without a single freaking commercial!
