I've been debating getting one of these. I have two AmCrest cameras that I just never could get setup in a reliable way. We have FireTVs and a kindle fire HD and it's just seems like these would be super convenience in comparison.

The cloud storage cost for this and google, still seem too expensive. Amazon's should be free or super discounted for prime members.

The reviews are very mixed on this. Seems like they didn't originally have any video available if you didn't buy a plan but now it's up to 24 hours for free. The picture doesn't seem to be quite as sharp as nest though.

We have a Tibetan Terrier with severe separation anxiety. We have to crate him so he doesn't destroy things. We bought a Cloud Cam to watch him throughout the day. It was an awesome surprise when we realized that talking to him through the two-way audio calmed him down. I realize there are many cameras with two-way audio, but we've really enjoyed our Cloud Cam -- I'm buying a second with this deal. My only complaint is that the app is mobile, there's no desktop client. But it's nothing that Amazon can't add in the future.
