You may already know this but I thought I'd throw it out there in case you may have overlooked it. For a new baby it is really nice to have a car seat that can detach from the base. This one does not have that feature. The removable seat from base allows you to remove the baby from the car without waking him/her up. This one is better for when they are a little older. From a new dad of a 9 month old baby boy. Congrats and good luck!! 👍

i have the chicco nextfit and britax b-safe. i've felt the britax at the store before.

i'd personally pick chicco because it looks like it's more comfortable with how it's designed, kind of like a pod/bucket.

Thank you ! I saw them at store too. Am wondering if putting in and taking the child out would be hard with chicco because of high sides. Both seats are highly recommended for safety because both have steel frame body .

putting them in/out won't last a long time (depending on when you start using the seat). by the time they're able to walk, they're going to want to climb in themselves.

Absolutely love the Chicco Nextfit. I This is a deal, don't see them this low very often. Bought a Graco 4ever when it was on sale for $99 a couple of months ago as an extra car seat, the toddler complains it's not as comfy as his regular seat. Also the Graco was much more confusing to setup whereas Chicco has a much more straightforward design to switch front/rear facing, and securing in seat. No experience with Britax though.

Fwiw, I get a 2.5 year old in and out of this seat no problem. It's rear facing in my Honda Civic, so not a roomy car either. I love the nextfit, super easy to install be that belt or latch, and easy to adjust straps and headrest! 👍

With tax, the price is nearly the same or slightly lower than Albeebaby. There are more color options at Albeebaby too.

what's the difference between the regular nextfit and the IX Zip? i don't see a great side by side comparison of their features... is it just the zipper on the fabric??? not sure what the extra 75 bucks gets me...
