Dell U3417W plus Dell $150GC for $738 with Code EXTRA10

I've been waiting for some kind of break on this display after deciding the extra $ for the 3818 (with slightly better vertical resolution and usb-c) wasn't in the cards, and I can use the GC for a planned desktop purchase next month.

$588 net cost for this monitor seems pretty slick, and includes expedited shipping at no charge.

$150 dell gc doesn't equal $150 cash.

NVM, figured it out. It's not a great deal considering this monitor was $600-$650 a year ago. Plus you can it get it from B&H for $719 with no tax, so it's about the same price with the $150 gift card give and take depending on how you value the gift card.

Thanks OP! I cancelled my U3415w order from Newegg. It'll require work but this deal has good potential when combined with credit card price matching. Plus there are great Dell cash back rates this weekend.

Ultrasharps arent for gaming. If they ever were, they would be crazy expensive.

Sure, it's not a gaming monitor but i use mine for PUBG and it doesn't seem to hold me back. it is great for side by side non gaming work.

They had a similar deal on 3415's about a year ago that I went for. I love the monitor but honestly, the whole gift certificate business wasn't great. If there's something in particular you intended to buy in the near future anyway it will probably work out fine, but if not, you wind up choosing something that's overpriced on the Dell site just to use up the GC in time. In practical terms, having to do that winds up making the monitor more expensive than you thought. I wound up getting a graphics card just before the GC would expire, but that card was much cheaper on sale elsewhere and Dell pm'ing is a pain in the butt.

If the GC was good for a year I'd think differently. At 3 months, I'd avoid unless you absolutely were already intending to buy something else from Dell that you can use it on. There are better deals than these Dell GC promo's.

Get LG 34uc88 instead of this, it's basically same panel and curve but support up to 75Hz if you have a AMD graphical card. I got the commercial version (3 year warranty, only one year for retail version 34uc88) in last June for $620.

A GC is considered into a net cost. Such as if the retail of a game costs 60$ for free, someone saying they bought a 200$ console for 140$ net cost is correct.

We use whatever is beneficial to us. Consumers use Gross and producers will always use net as they can say that there is more by adding less.
