Office Depot / OfficeMax is having a "BIGGEST CHAIR EVENT OF THE SEASON", lots of deals on different chairs. I've been waiting to purchase the specific one mentioned in the title as it as a headrest and is from the WorkPro Quantum 9000 Series (I have the mid back version currently). They are also offering free chair assembly on chairs priced over $99...which I did not do.

https://www.officedepot.com/a/pro...omic-Mesh/

They also do FREE next day business shipping for this chair which I scoffed at and didn't quite believe; but chair ordered yesterday, and it's coming today. Some of the chairs are available in store.

Add a 20% off coupon which you can get if you loiter around their website or in one of their many many many emails they always send out.

I'm eyeing the Serta high back. This chair is really comfortable though, I would say that was the second best chair I sat in besides the Serta one.

Anybody have any experience with the real space for $99? 20% brings it down to $85 after tax

Wow, this chair looks exactly like the one I got from Staples for $129

This and the WorkPro 1000 are superior to the Staples Hyken imo.
better build quality, better adjustments, easier to assemble.

My biggest problem with office chairs has been the cushion: They all collapse and turn into flattened pancakes within a year or two, even though the rest of the chair goes on strong. How can you determine the grade of the sponge in the seat? Is this of professional quality or of the same grade as the stuff on sale at these office places?

I actually have that chair was well. It fits me fine, but the quantum pro has a wider frame so it's better for a larger person. My mate hates the staples one because it just doesn't fit his body frame and it lacks a few of the adjustment options. At this price I would rather have the Quantum Pro.

We've had the Quantum 9000 series mid back chair for a few chairs now and there hasn't been a change in the seat cushion. The seat cushion is mesh so it doesn't flatten like a traditional fabric/leather seat cushion.

Mid back chair is a different model from this one though right?

Also, what is the normal price for this one? $299? I want one but I'm not sure if this is the best price so far. Any one agree/disagree?

Unfortunately I checked out this chair and the Staples Hyken chair last week, both headrests interfere with your shoulders as th height adjustments are only able to move about an inch vertically. Sucks because they were very comfortable and had great lumbar support otherwise. I'm 6 foot tall, these chairs would probably be great for someone at 5'8" ish. But go check it out in person before you buy it.

Yeah that was one slight problem I noticed too, still not that bad of a chair, I'm 6'1". The serta high back was much more comfortable for me. That one is usually 430, it's about 370 with the 20% discount.

I have the midback non headrest version at home and it is more comfortable than my Leap at work. Ymmv it's all dependent how it fits your body.

I am on an Aeron now migrated from Freedom and migrated from Leap v2.. Both have pros and cons. The Leap v2 is really nice and was hijacked by a close relative... My favorite order goes Leap (headrest) > Aeron Mk2 (aftermarket headrest) > Freedom (headrest). All of the 3 chairs mentioned above can be customized with different material...etc. However, they are all in different price range when compared with this deal when new. Used pretty much voids the warranties...
