What a bummer to hear. I have a 1st or 2nd generation p65. I don't have this problem you mentioned, however I do have a red tint at certain areas. I contacted a third party company, that Vizio recommends/uses, about this and they said it's a defect that has no fix. Apparently other companies have the issue as well. :/
Other than the red tint, I really like the TV! The display is quite impressive! My background is in photography so I would say I have a much more keen eye for displays than the average person. Not trying to toot my own horn, just trying to state how good the display looks (other than the red tint :/ ).
