This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Thanks for the opinions on a digital camera! The Nikon is going back! I read reviews on the Canon A590 as mentioned... definitely worth the extra money! I will be picking it up tomorrow! Now, I wish there was a code for online to bring the price down... oh well, guess its some wisps for me!

I agree Canons are the best. (I used be an electronics sales girl) Nikons have really slow shutter speed which sucks with kiddos. Sonys are good but the memory sticks (memory card it takes) are a little more pricey. Kodaks are cheap, literally in price and quality, best for beginners and starter cameras. Canons are great because they are easy to use, reasonably priced, and take wonderful pictures! I will never buy another brand camera!
I have a WONDERFUL Nikon (and if my hubby ever gets his way again we will have 2) but we have dslr, so that is a bit different Wink

Then definitely get the canon and you won't be sorry. I don't know much about the samsung or nikon. I think Ariel has a nikon, you could PM her and ask

I do, but not a point and shoot. I don't know anything about the point and shoots.

Sadwalk But maybe soon, if they were successful in their plot to buy the Long's!

Yes SLR are much much better but much more pricey. (Nikon does seem to have the best slrs) For point and shoot canon is the way to go.

YES! I hope the CVS' are here sooner rather than later! I have read about some of the deals people get a CVS and have been wishing!!

I agree--Canons are the way to go. I once had to call Canon CS about a year ago and not only did the rep speak perfect english, he knew how to fix my problem! On top of that, I didn't have to wait on hold for more than a minute or two. nod

Iagree That slr or dslr are more expensive, but I personally think they are sooooo worth the price! I was soo against it when J wanted one. I was like $1000 bucks for a freaking camera, you are out of your mind!!! OMG I have since changed my mind! The pictures we have taken with it are amazing! We have canvases up (16x20 and bigger thanks to SF) of some of our best shots! We don't go to the pro's anymore. In fact, ppl are constantly asking my hubby to do their professional pics. Mind you, the prices have dropped for the "older" models. I see the one we have (Nikon D 40) on Sd for less than $500 all the time! Now J wants the Nikon D300, which did drop a bit in price since the D700 was released, but still, I am not ready to pay $1700 for a camera yet. I gave my older dd our old point and shoot.

My mom has a CVS! I dream of ours soon being here Cloud9

I have a couple of nice, but past date, coupons that I can't do anything with. I have 2 LF Didj $10 MQs (12/11) & a $5 Game of Things TQ (12/7). I hate to see these go to waste if anyone else has some use for them.

I have a Nikon dSLR also and I love it. We bought it a few months before DS was born and it was worth every penny. I'm really spoiled with the dSLR and when I go to use a point and shoot now I have a difficult time dealing with the delay.

I have used it at longs with no problem and I think Walgreens has Goody items but they tend to be a little higher priced.
Rite Aid as well, but they are crazy expensive there!

We live in an apartment too, but have a fairly large dining/living area. I told DH last night we should buy a deep freezer, he was super excited about it! Now to find an SD on one!
I heart my deep freezer! I bought it at a garage sale for $40! It is great! I used to only shop at the commissary, but since my closest one is near you, I would only go every three months. I needed the freezer to be able to store all the meat I would buy. I would easily get 2 or 3 carts full of food for $500 and then freeze it all. It took a whole day to do that kind of shopping. Putting it all away and everything. I should do it more often, but I have gotten lazy and just started getting my meat from Costco since it is right here.

Check out craigslist! Always a good place for that kind of thing, also check your local paper! Smilie

Same here. I've had it almost 3 years, and I LOVE it! My 5 year old is getting my old P&S for Christmas.

Also, we got an awesome deal on our deep freeze because my dad bought it for us. HA! I love him for that!

Geesh... the newbies/lurkers come out of the woodwork when you mention a stockpile of something!

1) Digiorno is an old GC deal from at least a month ago...
2) Tyson.. DUH, q is in the wiki (I think)
3) Cookie dough is self explanatory if you looked at current TQs and MFQs in hand (or in the blinkie machine at the grocery store)

Yeah didn't even think of craigslist! Great idea!! He is getting so excited about the $$$ I have been saving and making. I haven't had a full time job since Aug and things have been tight these last few months. I will check it out after the holidays are over!

I got a baby clip and save (i think that's what it is called) for T the other day. Had a few good coupons in it. $2 off huggies will make for a great deal with the $2 off mfq. If anybody has any extra of that 1 I am willing to trade. I think that is the only q I will be using.
