All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Glad you're both feeling better. I had mine out earlier this year and it didn't go so well, but I'm 34 and I guess you're not supposed to wait as long as I did. Something about the older you get the harder it is. Anyway, just remember to take it easy even if you feel okay. I felt great after the surgery and even went shopping the next day and no pain meds.....guess I should have listened to the doctors though when they said not to overdo it because by day 3 things went bad fast - but it was my own fault so just remember to try to take it easy even if you feel good.
Yeah, I went shopping right after my surgery (had to get the cvs rx cards LOL) and spent .19 . I do not recall it, LOL.

[QUOTE=HollaBack247;15469741]oh great....exactly what I did today!! Yikes!!! I did take the pain meds though. I had 800mg ibuprofen from when I went to the dentist. I took that to

Be careful!

I am not doing well myself today, hurting bad and will probably be going back to the surgeon in the morning. I just hope its not dry socket

Im taking it very easy now! I had some stuff to do this afternoon and I have spent the rest of the evening laying on the couch! Tomorrow I have a couple gifts to drop off to some preschoolers that I love before they go on winter break.
I'm sick of being hungry though! I stopped at fastmart to get a soup at hand, and a young boy came up to me asking for jumper cables. I didn't have the heart to deny him, so I sat there forever waiting for him to get it to work, finally some old man came over and jiggled them around and the car started. Came home "ate" it and was still hungry. So then my friend brought me a fruitista freeze, and I am still starving!
I think I might try some grits

Oh, and I think we will miss the DVR thing more than the cable itself. We only watched local channels anyway. DH fabricated an HD antenna and we actually pick up channels from Mexico & LA. Super crisp. He will figure out a way to get DVR going on the puter that is dedicated to that TV. So all will be happy in our DD's little TV watching world.

The funniest part about that is Michael sloshed her all up, then tells her she needs rehab! Roll

What was the drink he made her at the beginning of the party?
The one of everything laugh out loud I liked the fa la la la la, la la ka-ching!

Hope you get feeling better fast. I don't know anything about dry sockets but if the pain is getting worse instead of better after day 3 then you should probably call them. That is what happened with me, pain and swelling got noticeably worse very quickly.

Sounds like you're doing pretty good! I don't remember being hungry, but when I finally had to start taking my pain meds, they made me kind of woozy so maybe that's why. What about mashed potatoes or something. You don't have to chew but they are a little more filling then soup. Or maybe some soupy oatmeal.

'Tis the season for bad news... Just found out my dear boss (well, ex-boss - but she still works at the same place and is like a mother to me) has breast cancer and is going in for surgery next week. Frown

Sorry we are all going thru some bad news around the holidays. A big hug out to every one of you!

Wow, let me rephrase that. The Target Chat thread. Come on now, is it getting boring in the hot mess thread? I don't wanna play, and I certainly don't want to play grade school games. My Aunt passed Tuesday, my cousin had a massive stroke yesterday, I have dealt with addiction patients all day today, and I am tired. I'm in grown up mode today.
hug Sorry you are having a bad week Teri! I'm glad the kool-aid is helping you to relax.

*groan* Not that song!!! Great...it's officially stuck in my head. Thanks, Thrifty!

Yeah-- they're pretty much saying now not to sleep on your back at all. So I try to sleep on my left side (which is supposed to be good for some reason-- must have to do with heart/blood circulation)-- but I can't make it through the night in one position b/c I wake up in too much discomfort, so I switch to my right, then end up having to switch back. Fun stuff. Smilie
Yeah, it was really hard towards the end to get comfortable. I kept waking up to find out I was sleeping on my back (ack!) and would freak out... I think the left side sleeping is because the placenta is on the right side or something like that? Are you sleeping with a body pillow? That helped me immensely during this time.

I'm glad your student decided to take the grade. Whew, done with that one! woot

Tootsie~ I'm hoping the neuro info you got was not too bad. My heart is out for you and I'm sending well wishes your way. hug

I'll be kind of glad when 12/31/08 is passed so no one will ask for the stupid TGIF Q anymore

Ok, I actually just came out here to post that I'm going to my local grocery store tonight to clean them out of TGIF - it's on sale 3/$10 so I'm cleaning house and filling the fridge. The q is almost expired anyway so I'm not afraid of "ruining it" for anyone... I'm going to go and do it again just as soon as they restock. Just thought I'd share that with y'all!!

No I would not die without cable, but my DH would. He's a boxing fan and you have to pay for the premium channels to get (most) boxing. So we pay a freaking ri-donculous amount to the evil cable company each month.

I do think I would stop watching network TV if forced to watch the commercials-- which I guess would be a good argument for getting rid of the DVR since most of it is so bad and they just cancel all the shows I like (Pushing Daisies, Sadwalk)

hug I'm sorry for your friend/boss. Hopefully they can help her.

Yes, I have one. I actually had to fight my DH off last night for my body pillow. I got up to go to the bathroom and when I came back, he had taken it over. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

It does help but even with that I have to move around a couple of times during the night.

LOL! LMAO I don't know why I even felt the need to share - just tired of people asking for the q too so I'm gonna just go use the heck out of it! I had kind of a crappy week too -

Monday I was in the ER with chest pains. They had to give me some kind of anti-anxiety pill to get me to calm down enough to put in an IV ('just in case' EEK! ). I'm not a needle person and I never get "anxious" about anything but I just freaked... ok, so everything checks out fine, no problem.... FIL comes to pick me up cause they gave me this pill plus some pain pill and send me home, but I can't drive on the meds. Question for you nurses out there, if someone is complaining of chest/heart pain and their blood pressure is something like 65/40, is it really safe to give them a narcotic downer?

Tuesday, it takes me almost an hour to drive home from work - a drive that usually takes about 6 minutes - because it's snowing so hard everything is just at a standstill. So, about a block from my office I notice that my car is running "rough" ... a few moments later my dashboard lights up like a Christmas Tree. Ok - I figure, it's Christmas time, it's snowing out, and my car is going to die right here in the middle of the busy street.

So, I crawl to my son's school to pick him up on the way home praying the entire time that I'll make it - get home and thank the good Lord that I live as close as I do.

Weds I get my car into the shop on a small miracle - no room at the Inn for my little car but they make room after I "drop a name"... sweet - $420 and a couple hours later my car is running like a top and I'm back in business. Did you know that auto repair shops don't take Target Gift Cards? I asked.

Today was actually a good day so I decided I was going to just come home and print a bunch of TGIs and go back to the store and clean 'em out. Tomorrow I'll be stuck inside the entire day because we're expecting a sleet/ice/snow storm to shut everything down and freeze all of our doors shut. Nice.

On a good note, I still have a job, a special friend of mine just recently got engaged and all of my Christmas shopping is done. So, I'm going to celebrate with some hot wings and kool-aid and just call it a day. Stick Out Tongue

Hope everyone else's week gets better too!!! hug
