Yea. For me

No work today. Don't have to do the hour drive one way. Too cold it was -29 wind chill and the store has already called some employees and ask them to stay home. Last night we we supposed to stay open until midnight. Closed at ten. It took me 5 minutes less than two hours to get home. Not fun at all last night.

I am trying to stay focused and get the house clean and think Christmas. Planning on going to Target this afternoon with the DS but....it will be cold. I WANT to go but it is cold.

Also thinking of a CVS run....CVS is closer I will let me choose.

Have a great day.

I really don't want to sound like I am complaining when so many of you are buried in snow this week, but our weather SUCKS. Rainy and warm. I've had the AC on for three days nowAnnoyed

Tonight is a family Christmas gathering and I was hoping to get by this year without any requests, not a chance, I've been asked to make home made egg nog again this year. Meanwhile, I have all those Organic Valley q's that I could use for free egg nog. I really considered trying to pass it off as home made, but it wouldn't work...so I am in the kitchen today making egg nog Frown I hope someone brings lots of bourbon drool
I'll trade places! I think I have frostbite on my thumbs from being outside to snowblow my driveway open. It's 30 degrees below zero here with the wind chill. I did make it to CVS though this morning for the deals. bounce I have a nice neighbor who picked me up after her dh snowblowed their driveway. Thanks bargain buddy! wave

I'm sorry you are feeling bad. You are almost there!! I have been feeling really down lately too, but yesterday was my last day of work until after Christmas, and amazingly, this morning I woke up in the Christmas spirit ....hopefully after the semester ends and you get a break, you'll feel better soon. Don't worry about being a Debbie Downer, you're never that!
hug Thanks, lady. Smilie I couldn't sleep again last night but at least (for now) I don't feel like I'm about to vomit or Faint Smilie

Hey, that OV is good stuff. (I'm sure your homemade is better. . . . ) I think I'd be tempted to tell them I changed the recipe this year or something. Big Grin

The corporation I work for goes by the saying "The customer is always served." Therefore the customer may not always be right, but we still do our best to give exceptional guest service and fix the situation to the best of our ability. I so much prefer this way of thinking. Believe me if my customer's were always right this world would be a sad sad place.
I like this philosophy. My DH owns a restaurant and there are some really weird/outrageous "customers". I used to work there as a hostess/bartender before I had DD and I totally understood why the customer is not always right. nod

bounce Glad you don't have to work. It sounds freakin' freezing!! I don't know what I'd do if I was faced with that kind of weather...especially since I've been in FL for way too long! When I moved down from Indiana the last winter I spent there the coldest temp was -60 with the wind chill factor. Cold

sbhiggins~ Glad you're feeling ok today!!

I have been snowed in now for 3 days. I am bored out of my mind but getting a lot done. Hoping to get out tomorrow. Was really hoping for tonight but now it started raining and that will mean ice everywhere. Lots of fun. Killin me as I have a TON of runs to do at multiple stores. Oh well.

See Target Magic lives close to me. She is -30 and I am -29!

Well, from last week's chat she is north of me. We don't shop the same store locations unless she is being a soccer mom. That is what got me confused before. I was thinking she lived near Greenfield or Bayshore. I guessed wrong.

Everyone kept warm. I am cold NOW and I am indoors.

Yup. Soccer Mom. I get to travel quite a bit (especially in the summer) to Milwaukee. Sometimes to Chicago for tournaments. Then I have my oldest who plays college soccer in Indianapolis so I make about 8 trips there during the year. Gives me lots of Targets, CVSs and WAGs to shop at. I love it when I travel and there's good deals to be found!
I'm going out again in a few hours to take my son to basketball tryouts. It's close to CVS so I may as well stop. I still have lots of ECBs expiring 12/27......need to spend those!

Does anyone know if SuperTarget carries the Tyson Quesadilla or Fried Rice meal kits? They used to have them at WM, but discontinued those 2 and they were the ones my kids liked best.

I lived in Alaska for 12 years, so I am used to -30 and then some. Of course, I don't want that laugh out loud, but I don't want 80 either Mad

Crying Boohoo! I'll trade ya, I would love to have to have the AC on right now hug . There is so much snow everywhere and they never plowed our street, it is one big ice slick. Plus then you have the deep black slushy salty stuff mixed with ice when you try to go shop or go anywhere that you have to wade through, not only is it gross but it sticks to your shoes and doesn't melt off so then your car mats get slimy and the entry in your house. It makes a huge mess! And I keep worrying about slipping and falling and then going into labor or something. It so slippery everywhere outside, inside on the wet store floors, although they try to keep it dry.

I really want to go shopping I still have a few more gifts I need and I need cheap jammies for my two girls, haven't found any yet.

Me, me, me!!! I went - and I'm right here with all the freezers!!! It's probably about -100 here ... well, maybe not that cold but might as well be! It is FRIGID! I love the way they plow and divide the parking lot up by snow mounds all the way down the lot - I walked down the wrong one and couldn't just cut over, had to walk all the way back down to the store to get around the damn snow mound with my cart! EEK! Um, it's Cold .

Oh I HATE that, I go down the wrong row all the time and in the snow you can't just cut through.

So did either of you two use the new $10/$50? If you did which one and did it scan? heart

Yep, I used Drozee's original and it scanned beeplessly...went right to the bottom of the receipt but absolutely did not beep. The kitchen floor mat I bought was $9.99.

It was 82 here today. Got to set up the baby pool in the backyard for DS. Planning a T run for Tuesday with my mom. Already took her to Publix today and worked some Q magic for her. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
