This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I HATE Chicago O'Hare Airport!!!!!

Got stranded for 8 hours (with 4 kids) for a mechanical plane problem (they never were able to fix it). Mad

During this time, I could have done a circuit of Targets and Kmarts with Littleteapot or Pretzels. Crying Would have been more productive and fun than spending time with a bunch of angry holiday travellers. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

The airline told us that they were trying to find another plane to replace our POS plane. My thought, "What? Are you going to call up Budget or Enterprise and see if they have a PLANE for RENT?????" EEK!

I had 2 great great great runs at T today! I am in love LOL. I got dog food for the animal shelter, my trunk is full! I got chinet, clorox wipes (have $1/any clorox product, they adjust for me...) and a bunch of other stuff. It was so awesome. I did not try any bogos or anything like that, too scared. Had two great cashiers and it probably would have flied though.

Tomorrow I will be going to the Nasty target and buying a toy organizer, and I will be using the rest of my glade g/cs to buy it. I am also going to shop like a mad person, I have so many legit coupons for legit deals, they are going to freak.

We made it to our destination... My kids were better travellers than most of the people at that airport. They have been on many trips, so they're well adjusted.

Lessons learned while stranded:
  • Have to wave your hand over the sensor to turn the sanitary paper around the toilet rim. LMAO
  • Food is EXPENSIVE ($2.50 for a drink bottle that was Free AC at Target) and T or K GCs not accepted worldwide.
  • Used Starbuck GCs, which was bought with T GCs and that is the only indirect usage of my T GCs

Has anyone used the RiceWorks q? the barcode looks about the same as the Organic Valley, so I'm wondering if it scans ok.
I've used it quite a few times now. It scans just fine but it will prompt for a price. The sweet chili ones are spicy but yummy! Salsa Fresca is okay but nothing to write home about. Has anyone seen any other flavors?

OK let em see what you all think....
My DH thinks it is not a very good gift..

I have a niece we were close when she was young but haven't been for years.
She doesn't really talk to anyone on our side of the family. For whatever reason. Nothing dramatic ever happened just once she got married she kind of floated away. She has never made any good choices, but she never complains just trudges along.

Anyway she has 4 kids, she is 26. We never see her, not a phone call or a card. But she always shows up for Christmas. She gets something for everyone. Nothing extravagant just something small from the dollar store or whatever. I am sure it is more than she can afford. I am grateful, but I wish she wouldn't even spend her money becasue I know they can't really afford it.

This year money is tight for me too. I have made my mind up if I can't pay cash I am not buying it. So I bought the kids pajamas sometime this year that I got a great deal on. Then I thought I would give them each a $5 gift certificate ot McDonalds.

For her and her husband I bought nice towels that I got a super great deal on (there are 8), a laundry basket, 2 bottles of tide, some stain cleaner, dryer sheets, and a bottle of wine. I thought I would put a card in it saying something about putting the laundry in and relax with the wine.

I also bought each family a target spiral sliced ham.

What do you think?
