When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! Urban Dictionary word of the day:

Festivus
December 23

n. An alternative to the crass commercialization of Christmas, typically celebrated on December 23. It involves The Airing of Grievances (telling your family and friends all the ways they have disappointed you during the year) and does not end until the Feats of Strength (pinning the head of the family) are accomplished. A plain, metal pole is used in lieu of a Christmas tree, because decorations (such as tinsel) is distracting from the true meaning of the holiday.
A Festivus for the rest of us! -George Costanza

Too funny....leaving a store the other day, the two people ringing the bells for the donation drive yelled to us "Happy Festivus!!" My dh yelled back "A Festivus for the rest of us!!" They were laughing hysterically LMAO

That's EXACTLY what I would do...tell them you just couldn't afford to buy for the adults this year (they'll understand, I'm sure), and leave it at that.

Or, give the adults shampoo and conditioner...heh heh. Or movie tickets...

Seriously, sorry you have to deal with this during the holidays; inlaws can be a royal pain in the ass, I know!
Personally, I'd be more inclined to give the :middlefingersmiley: for their Christmas gift. It is truly the gift that keeps on giving.

Here's a thought....do NOT call target guest service. Call their corporate office at 612-304-6073. See if you can get through to their human resources dept...or if you have to call guest service ask that human resources call you back. Often issues are not brought to the attention of corporate (we try to take care of all guest complaints...believe me you dont want them escalated to corporate) I guarantee you will get more of a result that way.
nod The 800 # for Guest Services will get you a pat pat, there there, we will contact the store. This situation is beyond that simple of a "correction".

I find it so interesting how I've seen people on here calling themselves a Hot Mess. Where I'm from being called a Hot Mess is very insulting! EEK!

I guess it is just a difference in cultures, but it's taking me a while to get used to. Coverlaugh
Secret In another lounge thread someone was trying to type hotness and fat fingered the keyboard so it came out hotmess. I couldn't let it go, therefore it became an intergral part of the thread. Roll

I personally like this definition

I am so sorry! That just super sucks! Really, you'd think that in this economy she would be more concerned about her job and Target as a whole would be more concerned about losing customers to other stores!
I guess not, because she is the store manager she has job protection. That is the thing that bothers me the most, is that she is impersonating the store manager. Not cool!

WOW!!! I think I'm speechless. Wait, no I'm not. laugh out loud

Do not settle for some lousy $3 apology coupons. Keep calling until you have spoken to someone at the top. That corporation owes you a huge apology and then some. If you have a lawyer, I'd even go as far as him writing a letter. Noone deserves to be spoken to like that over a damn coupon.
I have never even been offered a $3 apology coupon, and I have called probably 8 times on this so far. I know the rule is NOT to call, but this is not in relation to a deal, this is in relation to the downright nasty behaviour of a store employee, towards a paying customer! I have a lawyer but I have not said anything like this.

I agree with you, and I am not letting it go.

I am going to wait until after Christmas though to contact the other number Jen gave. Right now I would rather concentrate on spending time with my DF and DD and making sure that our holidays are happy Smilie

Ariel- She did not cuss in front of DD this last time, otherwise heads would be rolling and I would not be posting. I would be in jail for physical assault on a target beyotch! LMAO

Dd is getting that my little pony amusement park one way or the other lol. If I don't get it on clearance my mom is going to pay full price on amazon for it....but i just dont feel right doing that. lol

I want to get some stuff for dd's birthday in march and just stock up on toys in general. I'm so excited, it's my first *real* toy clearance hehe. I still have to shop for my side of the family, I won't see them until sometime in january, so I always wait to do their shopping....I get them more stuff for less money.

So I came to a conclusion on the whole in-laws thing. I have already bought presents for all of the kids, which is the important thing. I was going to give his sister's some T gc's or restaurant gc's, but instead I will be making them gift bags. I am giving each sister a scented oil apple cinnamon candle and holder, two packages of refills, each a cinnamon apple glade candle, bliss, goody.....not sure what else would be appropriate to put in there that I have on hand. I know that if I did shampoo etc...they would probably make derogatory remarks as they know about my stockpile and I don't want it to become a scene.

I Think I have a much better perspective today and christmas is truly for kids, and maybe such adults need a gentle nudge to be reminded of that. Dh and I are not even exchanging presents until after christmas. We would rather go way out and let the kids have a great christmas. i'm an adult, I can buy what I want or need at anytime, I don't need an excuse lol.

Bye Hi everyone!

Been busy with the holidays etc but I just wanted to tell you about my fun day yesterday!

It turned out where Trang was staying in CA wasn't far where I like to shop with my mom. Trang and I arranged to meet up; I was going to meet my mom in the same center and shop with her, too. My mom and I were going to lunch at Chik Fil A first, though. I called Trang to tell her when I arrived at CFA. My mom got stuck in traffic on the freeway; by the time she arrived at CFA and we had finished lunch, Trang had powershopped her way through Target. This is a Target I have only ONE jedi at that I've discovered. Somehow when Trang was checking out this young guy magically appeared to check her out; I've NEVER seen him there before! He opens up his register just to check her out, and is amazed as she walks out saving $2xx.00. She meets me at the food court, then walks a few min through the store with me.

She was so amazingly nice and loaded me up with tons of coupons. And not just a few of each, like half a tearpad of each! "Oh, you can have a bunch of these, they expire soon, and I have 2 tearpads of them...." And she gave me a coupon for a $20 GC! What generosity!

I end up with the same cashier. He said "oh, how much did you save?" I said, "only about $40" Him: "You should have seen this lady earlier! She came through here, her total was like $400, and she walks about paying like NOTHING! And then she came through a second time! She is like the QUEEN of coupons!" He was so amazed and impressed with Trang I bet he talks about her all week... (I will, too!)

She was going to head to a Kmart close by that I had never been to (In Corona). Turns out it had changed to a Sears Grand, so I gave her directions to another K 30 min away (the Temecula store, Thrifty). I stopped at another Target, lookign for giant Ponyville Amusement Park (sold out, grr!) and Trang calls from K "I found an entire tearpad for you, would you like it?" OMG!! I was so excited! I ran out of that T so fast and drove straight to (the packed) Kmart. I saw her husband pacing back and forth outside the door laugh out loud

Again, Trang had all the luck finding a jedi. The girl didn't care about her coupons, as long as they weren't expired. I have been afraid of trying that girl before, but I guess not now! I told Trang where another K was (another 30 min) so she drives there. By the time I finish shopping at the market and head home, she had already left the far away Kmart! She is a POWERSHOPPER!

Her GPS sends her to another T and not to the SuperTarget that was on the way home. So she just has to stop in and shop there too, of course. I meet her at ST (printed some Qs for her) and she shops there. Her husband was still so cheerful and in good spirits; mine would have given up hours ago and would have been a bit angry at me by then!

I was so tired driving around everywhere to all the stores and I didn't even shop at them! Trang is so nice, and so amazing at shopping. I bet she saved at least $1000 yesterday....

I'm off to Walmart today to return a few things I had bought before the return lines get too long. I have Kohls' returns, too,and I still haven't mailed my niece's present. I was suppose to come home by 4pm yesterday to do it but I had much more fun watching Trang shop. LMAO My niece will be loaded up for presents that day anyways, it's not that bad if it arrives a day AFTER Christmas...

Trang is one of the great T Ninja shoppers. Wax on wax off SoCalGal. I bet she had a blast at the ST in Menifee. I have always had jedi's at that store! /true story!

Ugh...I *really* don't want to go to the store today, but I HAVE to. Why oh why does someone who goes shopping at least once a week not have their xmas shopping done? I feel like such a bad shopper lol.

Since I was not part of this forum last xmas...do you guys wait to get the gift bags at 75% or they will be gone? what stuff do you think should wait to get for really cheap and what will not make it.. I know storage boxes are always popular

Unrelated question, kind of. About a month ago (when there were all those nice TQs to go w/ the MQs), I went to an out of town target (an hour away). One item that was supposed to be removed from my transaction was not, but it was only $2.49, but when put w/ the other coupons that didn't deduct, it added up to between $15 & $20. I was watching close but didn't notice. I emailed Target & they said go back or call the store. So far, I haven't been back, bc it's not somewhere I go to often. And I really didn't think calling the store would resolve anything, since they can't see the receipt, etc. So I just kind of dropped it. Should I call corporate, even if it's been a month? I'm thinking ab just letting it slide, but it still irks me.
