When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Ladies (and a gentlemen lol),

I need some help. Ok, so I was just talking to my mom and apparently my father's parents were supposed to take my nephew to disneyland or disneyworld, one of the two not sure, well they cancelled saying they couldn't "afford" it. Well apparently they went and just took some other grandchildren. So of course my nephew is super dissapointed.

I know it's not something I'm going to be able to do over night, but I would like to make this trip happen for my nephew. My sister has been out of work for awhile and her dh does construction so in the winter money is really tight, but I think if i got some marriot and southwest gc's I could make a dent in the cost of the trip.....do any of you have any advice on how to make this more affordable and possible??

Find out what restaurants are near the Marriott and get some of those GC's too. Amex/MC/Visa GC's for tickets to Disney?

Thanks ltp and teri, I def. didn't think of the restaurant thing. My dad's parents have always done stuff like that. They favor our other two cousins and have our whole lives. My sister is actually the only one of us who still puts up with it. Heck, I'm 26 years old and I still remember how much crap like that hurt my feelings as a kid, why am I going to put my kid's through the same thing? I just don't understand how people can lack love and affection for their family in general.

How old are your father's parents, and how old are the kids? Could it be that the one child is too young, or too much for them to handle? I hope your nephew doesn't find out.

Hi all! DD had a great Xmas... It was neat to watch her open up her presents. She got a Fisher Price Keyboard that she absolutely adores!! It was from my sister (her aunt). It's great! DD also got a food set from her other aunt (on my side of family) and she loves walking around with the pop bottle and pretend drinking it!! Crazy girl!! laugh out loud Hope you all had a nice day.

Jen...so sorry your family is playing favorites. Comfort

Have a great night!! hug

HEEELLLPPP:

I just posted my first Hot Deals find. I really really hope it's not a repost and I don't get devoured by the HD people. I did a search first, but didn't see anything since 12/06/08, and that was for perfume, this is for pj's... I'm skeered...LINK

Since you all have been so helpful today...I have two more questions:

We have an employee who's a freshman in college. His entire family has pretty much abandoned him so he's on his own at 18. He's staying with a friends family for the entire 3 weeks he's in town from college and they bought him presents and everything. I slipped him some passes to give to them as a thank you! I'm going to put a care basket together for him. One of the other manager's said he would split the cost of the basket and a set of towels with me and I'm gonna throw in shampoo, toothpaste, body wash, pens, notebooks, deodorant.....anyone got idea's on what else i can put in there for a college kid on his own?

I am also putting gift bags together for all of the associate managers....the girls i have covered. But I need something for the boys. What is a smallish, but useful gift for like 8 guys that I could get at T? I had thought nice notepad sets, or gloves or something?
