About the PT talk - my kids are 28 months are they do go pee pee in the potty seat if I let them run arnd naked or when I change them....But if I put them in underwear/diapers/pullups they dont use the potty seat...:IDK:...

And to the lurker who raided my store, you could have bought the candle refills instead of destroying the boxes...yeah you didnt open the boxes but none of the candles were in place....

So, what gives? Its after noon on Sunday and I haven't seen any mention of any deals for this week. Not that there's any to be had, I just looked at the online at. The wire 5 tier shelving units are on sale for $29.99, good for holding stockpiles. I also looked for the Target web coupons. New ones were supposed to come out this week. There are no coupons this week. Is this normal for this time of year or are they really doing away with printable coupons???

2) As for PTing. I have 4 kids and they all did it at their own place. My DS#1 was 3 and a week. Did it himself. DD#1 was 3 and a month. she got PTed only because she went to school and didnt want to be changed when the other kids were playing. DD#2 was 2 1/2 and did it while we drove from CT to FL! Talk about fun EEK! She did really well and that was it. DS#2 was 2 1/4 and I honestly dont remember HOW he did it. I bought him new underwear and he just did it. All kids learn at their own pace.
*snip*
I agree, they are all so different. Most say that girls are easier to PT and usually pick it up earlier but that wasn't the case with me. DS did it on his own when he was just over 2 with no accidents at night but before you hate me, DD wasn't nearly as easy! It was more work with her (seems like everything is though so maybe it's the personality) and she still wears pull-ups at night. Because DS was so easy and did it so early, I kind of stressed about DD until my mom said, "don't worry about it so much, it's not like she's going to go to Kindergarten wearing diapers!" She was so right and after I finally stopped stressing and nagging DD, she started to show an interest on her own.

Here's a little hint for those of you who have recently PT your little ones. When I was ready to let DS go overnight with no pull-up, I used a water proof mattress cover then the bottom sheet then another waterproof mattress cover and another bottom sheet then I made the bed as usual. That way, if he ever had an accident, all I had to do was pull off the wet sheet and mattress cover and there was a clean set underneath. I hate having to make beds in the middle of the night! HTH!

The only potential deal for me this week is the tyson with the TQ and MQ and that's a warm deal.

Some irons were 30% off if you need one. DH broke ours this morning

Anyone else but me notice that you can't print q's at the kiosk anymore? I was able to earlier this week, now it says that feature is disabled at the kiosk

I have a lot of trouble with my handi vac too. I wrote the company and all they did was send me the directions on how to use it. i did want to say it worked REALLY good in the beginning

I got a SD on a foodsaver for $60ish the other day here. Cant wait to get it. Forget the handivac.
I wondered if I was the only one having problems with that thing. It takes me forever to get a single bag sealed. EEK! I keep re-seating the circular seal onto the bag and sliding it around, and eventually it will seal and pull the air out - but it sometimes takes me up to 10 minutes to get one bag sealed. Annoyed

Just go to the fabric store and buy some lace, ribbons etc and sew it on regular girls underwear. If she helps design the special panties, it will probably work better laugh out loud

You can also made fabric transfers with iron-on printer paper and use characters that the kid loves and iron on the figures.

The only downside.. kids love to show off their underwear to every stranger they meet Stick Out Tongue

I think I just found me a side job opportunity LMAO
I may do that! I have a sewing machine, but haven't used it in years. Though I am more interested in getting back into the habit since J bought me a serger for xmas! I want to buy some fleece to make warm and soft sleep pants, so I need to go to the fabric store anyway.

Oh, I knew you weren't showing off. I'm just jealous. I'm actually glad to hear she's 26 months. I thought you were going to say 17 months or something like that. DS is 28 months, so maybe there's still hope for him Smilie.
I know hun hug I had two goals for Soph: to be weaned off breastfeeding by her prom night (check Yahoo!) and to be potty trained by her high school graduation. So far, we are on the right track Wink

I'm glad to see that it's not only me. I think I've gotten it to work once. It's so frustrating, but would be great if it worked. I also have a foodsaver, but those bags are so expensive and I have a TON of the handivac bags to use. Frown

I sometimes have trouble too. What works for me is to make sure some part of the food is touching the textured part of the bag, near the top. Once I move something to that space, the air begins to suck right out quickly.

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask, but here goes. If I bought something at Target two days before Christmas, that is on sale this week, will I need to do a return/rebuy, or will Target adjust the price of my original purchase?
I took in my receipt today for a PA on the Wii game (COD-wow)..no problem. the girl helping me told me she was going to do the same thing. I bought the game dec 23rd

Who wanted to go on vacation? I can't remember. Anyway, taking the kids or not, this is the year to go someplace other than Disney. Disney is barely a vacation, let alone considered traveling. There are some really pricey destinations out there that are really affordable now since no one has $ to travel. Think Hawaii, CA, pretty much anywhere you want to go has a deal. Just search for it on travelzoo and other travel websites. We aren't going anywhere except to visit family this year but my friend found a kickbutt deal to Europe for cheaper than flying to CA. etc etc. as with anything else, you just have to look

We found a great Southwest deal on christmas week to IL for 3 tix for less than the price of a ticket and a half usually. It's traveling in February but we don't really care. I'd say this year just shop around and consider places you wouldn't have considered before.

I wanted to tell you guys about my experience at Walgreens.

I walked in and grabbed 4 newspapers and a new ESC. I went down the shampoo aisle just to look, and I saw that they had several Garnier shampoos and conditioners clearanced for $2.19 (go check it out!). Plus the $2 ESC coupon went into affect today! So I grabbed about 12 of them.

I went to the register and the cashier didn't want to give them to me. She kept saying there was a limit 1. I kept saying "no i says limit 1 per coupon". She asks her manager who says "let her have it".

So see finally scans everything (minus my newspapers) and the total is $35. She scans the coupon and it takes the total to $3.08. She just about wets her pants!! "We can't do that!! Look! (to the manager) All that was just $3!!"

He comes to the register and says "maam, I cant give you all that!!!" You can only have 4." I just looked at him Annoyed I was like " I have followed all rules, YOU guys marked down your merchandise, and YOU guys distributed the coupon!" So he gives me all these excuses...... then just says "Fine, just pay me".

He shoves the newspapers into my arms, and the bags of shampoo and conditioner and just says "HERE!!!"

Whee I skipped out to my car woot and told my husband the story!
I felt so alive! It was a rush!

I absolutely LOVE when cashiers/managers, etc take it so personally - wtf do they care, really? You are so right, they mark down the merchandise AND distribute the coupons - if they do it at the same time then they are going to give the crap away - it's as simple as that. Helloooooo???? LMAO

By the way, GOOD FOR YOU!! Smilie
