This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

The one I saw (and didn't get) was in a blue generic Target-ish box. I think the snowglobe itself was dark bluish (or maybe black, can't remember) with the white snow and a small picture frame-like thing on the inside so you can upload your pics to it. It was regularly $40, and so $10 for the 75% off.
They were really cute, but only 50% off when I saw them. I opted for the stocking ornament, even though I liked the snow globe better.

I know it sux.

Quote from TargetMagic :
I never knew that either until a local news station did a story on Linens & Things that is closing here. They explained it just like that. A company takes over and they get a portion of the sales. Most of the time, they come in and raise prices before they post a % off, so people think they're getting a good deal, but the % off price is actually higher than what they could have gotten it for at regular price before the Going out of Business Sale! Doesn't seem fair....
*SNIP**
you are basically at their mercy b/c you need the cash nod
you are better off leaving it in many cases ~ honestly

Holy crops!!! If you only knew how many times I've heard that song in the past 2 weeks being home with DS... But now I will always think of this version when WP is on, and of Sky picking up the phone to "save the chat thread" - laugh out loud

Ok, side note, don't the wonderpets remind you of the woodland creatures on southpark????

My target was 110% off today

Really, why all the fuss about 90%. Most of the good stuff is gone at 75%. If there's something to buy, it's at 50 or 75. . . . . They had one of those phillips trees that was 350. Now THAT would be something to get at 90% if it's still there which is unlikely but who knows
laugh out loud They would have to pay me to take out what was left of the holiday stuff at my T.

Ripped open bags of candy, ugly wrapping paper, etc. I swore I wouldn't buy any new xmas decorations this year and I actually stuck to it. Smilie Didn't see a thing I wanted.

I did go to KM on Friday and they had tons of Martha Stewart trees left, but still expensive at 50% off.

My tree I got from amazon.com in '05 for 90% off ($29.99) and shipped to my door for free. Big Grin

The rolling tree case I bought today was almost that much.

laugh out loud It wasn't really that much, but I bought two of them and a bunch of other storage stuff.

I didn't make it to HD; I was running around and just caved and went to WM. I hate giving them my money but managed to get everything I needed so Dontknow
