Does anyone still have grandfather Prime where you could share your acc't with 4 people?

I had a grandfathered account, and had two non-household people sharing it. I have heard both recently mention that they would be dropping Prime due to the cost. So, I thought that my account must of dropped them, and they did their own subscription. I just looked and they are still both listed under my Prime account. I called one, and asked how come he was paying if he could still get benefits under my account. He wasn't sure, but was not going to renew and see if he still maintained his Prime via my account.

Q - Does anyone still have grandfathered users that can access their Prime benefits?
Q - Any idea why someone would opt for their own membership?
Q - If they cancel their own membership (one has a yearly; one has a monthly), will they bounce back to mine (depending on answer to the first Q).

I also had this issue last year. We have a grandfathered account as well. But it charged my account (secondary) for its own membership & they wouldn't refund it. After that year it went back to saying the primary account holder was my bf but I'm thinking it's a way for them to kick people out of the old plan. Look at your benefits? On the old prime sharing, I had everything he had. Prime video, storage, twitch, all of it was identical. Now I only have 2 day shipping & early access to deals which is total CRAp but it still shows me linked to him. I've actualy consulted an attorney with top class actions regarding a potential class action lawsuit bc I've had other people tell me the same and amazon isn't fixing it.

I want to say that the old grandfathered in accounts are just allowed to share the shipping benefit. I just checked my account, and it gives me an alert to switch to the household account so the other person can receive more benefits.

hi, i know this chat is old, but i'm a secondary on my sisters account and she has me listed to share the shipping benefits. We're grandfathered in since i'm not in her household. Can i change my email address and still get the benefits?

I had shared my membership with 3 emails which was grandfathered and then I added my wife(4th email) to the household sharing. After a couple of years amazon kicked off one of my emails from the grandfathered plan and when I spoke to customer service they have no clue about this grandfathered plan and are being very rude about it. There's no way I can see my old email addresses that I shared on amazon anymore. This is not honorable amazon!

I want to know what's happened to others also. I've had 4 others on my plan and one of them told me they were charged this year. Not having checked in a year, it looks like there's only the household page now. I guess I'm not touching it so we can stay grandfathered in, except one of them. Weird how only one person was targeted and 5 years after the Household program was introduced.

I don't get Prime Video or 20% on S&S Diapers, just Prime shipping benefits.

I am grandfathered in and share with 4 other people. I was trying to find where it lists the emails of who I share with. Could you tell me where you found it. I don't seem to see it.

thats odd i only see "Manage Your Household" and "learn More" in that section no dropdown or and option to expand it.

Yes I have a grandfathered account and share with four people. One of them accidentally signed up for a free trial to get prime video and then complained they didn't have prime any more. I had to spend 3hrs with Amazon support and finally realized they were there and I just couldn't see the list
