Today only, Monoprice takes an extra 20% off sitewide via coupon code "FEB27". Shipping starts at about $7, although some items receive free shipping. Some exclusions apply.

The Monitor is on sale for $312.49 and you can add the 20% off coupon I listed above to drop the originally priced $399.99 monitor to 249.99. Not a bad deal at all especially with the Pixel Perfect Guarantee... Even though the "ActiveHDR" is a not true HDR (350cd/m2).

Not many reviews out there for this monitor nor a straight answer for the panel type (One reviewer says the box it states IPS). So I guess I will see ha ha.

Notes: HDMI is 2.0 so it will support 4K at 60Hz
Not sure of the response time - Manual says two different times (5ms and 8ms GTG)
User's Manual - https://downloads.monoprice.com/f...170810.pdf

I will give it a try since Monoprice also offers their 30-day money back guarantee.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I know it sucks but please do your homework on this monitor. Monoprice has been quite infamous for labeling IPS on the spec page but the monitor actually has a TN panel.

I'll do a bit of research when I get home from school and make coffee but I would definitely advise you give it a double check on a few sources.
I got one of these when it hit this price last year. I'm not using it for gaming, but it's a perfect monitor for a developer who needs lots of screen real estate.
Just wanted to note that response time is not to be confused with input lag. Many people think they're interchangeable when they are, in fact, two separate characteristics for panels.

Same price it was on Black Friday. Wish I had the money to get one but something tells me it will go on sale at this price again.

Looks like a pretty good monitor, and for $250 it's a great deal, but I wouldn't use it for gaming purposes. 27 in and "4k" is pretty good, but with such a high response time and low refresh rate there are better options. If you're in need of a monitor this could be a good one to get, but I wouldn't get it as a replacement for one

I got two of these (was replacing first one) within last month and both of them were not TN - wasn't curious to find out actual matrix type but viewing angles are as good as IPS provides.

Do you or anybody else know if it can do picture-in - picture or split screen with two different sources?

I don't think it has picture in picture, and I know it doesn't have split screen.

From their staff FAQ:

What type of panel does this have? What is "1-Si TFT-LCD?"
