The 2TB model is just an external USB 3.0 large size (not capacity) hard drive, not a network model.

I used Honey to find another coupon that stacks on top of WDDEALS (The code is FEBHONEY for those who don't have honey, I highly recommend it though! Does all the work for you entering in different codes and using the best one). It was another $6 off so it brought down the 2TB to $35.86 with tax. Probably the best deal on a HDD I've ever had. Not sure if this model is shuckable, but it doesn't matter to me anyways since I'm going to use this as an upgrade network drive. Nice find johnny_miller
No. It is two 2TB drives in a mirror configuration. Read the reviews at https://www.smallnetbuilder.com/n...2-reviewed
Wow wd is advertising 4TB on a unit that has 2x2TB in Raid 1? Thats only 2 TB of usable space. People not aware of this are gonna be like where is the rest of the space

I'm new to this...Does this mean the 4TB WD My Cloud Mirror has TWO 4tb drives inside, and is constantly RAID mirroring one to the other?

Or is your actual total on the 4TB WD My Cloud Mirror, spread over two 2tb drives?

Can the dual bay 4tb model be used as a plex server? If i'm not mistaken the single drives won't work with plex unless there's some kind of work around by.

It's 2 2tb drives. NOT 2 4TB. if you want that you need to get the 8TB version.

Check it out on best buy to see how they name it.

There is 2x 2TB drives. You can mirror them for 2TB total, or you can use it as one large 4TB volume with no redundancy.

How good are these recertified from wd? Warranty? Spending 149$ on this is better or buying a nas from synology or qnap is better?
