Newegg[newegg.com] now has the LaView Wi-Fi 1080P Video Doorbell Camera with On-Board Storage with Pre-Installed 16GB Micro SD on sale for $99.99 after promo code and with extra $10 Newegg Gift Card.
I picked this up on cyber Monday. I updated the firmware and it caused some issues with my doorbell in which I sent it back and laview but they found no issues with it. Once I associated the doorbell with another account in the laview app, it started to work again. No complains after that. No subscription fee like the ring doorbells and also has the ability to connect to my laview NVR or others since it's ONVIF compliant.

Just so I understand you can record video on your network?
Can't believe it but I'm holding off for a deal on the RCA version because it doesn't have a logo.
I just bought it, hoping that a little acetone will remove the screen-printed logo. If it doesn't work, there are a number of options still available to cover it up. For example, covering it with a discrete waterproof sticker, or covering it with a label/plaque that says "ring", or just repaint the entire cover.
Could someone provide physical dimensions for this? I have an odd space. Amazon dimensions accurate at 1.9" h x 1.2" w x 0.8" d?
Amzn Q&A section states this...which is correct?!?
Question: I only have 1 1/4" width of space where my current doorbell fits between door and brick will this fit?
Answer: Yes, it fit your current space. Our dimension is 122.4mm x 45.9mm x 28.1mm(4.82" x 1.81" x 1.11").

A number of reviews complaining about the wifi losing connectivity\not connecting with this model (which is a rebranded Hilvision sold by a number of makers). Anyone have any experience with it in that respect? I want to hook it up to Blue Iris and have it record continuously if possible and use it as a front door camera essentially which just happens to operate as a door bell also.

FYI - most all of the wifi cameras have some issues w/wifi.
Try to move an access point closer to the front door should have reduce any issues.
