I wouldn't call it easy; it takes practice to understand the quirks of the system. I do this for a living and I've set up hundreds over my lifetime. Logitech has made the process MUCH better in recent years with the invention of the Harmony Hub. I've had plenty of experience with high end home theater remotes ($250 and up), and Harmony is by far the easiest to work with.

At this price, it's well worth the cost of the hub alone. This is meant for people to get into nice home theater remotes at an amazing price point, so think of the remote as a freebie.

This is such a cool device, we took about a week to really wrap our heads around what it was capable of, it does Bluetooth and IR so you can control almost anything in your entertainment center. I even manually programmed our tower fan nearby using the IR learning mode I can control my otherwise dummy fan with all the functions of the original remote but from my iPhone. I think $60 is fair, use a 10% off code and a popular rebate cash back site for added value. No backlighting is the only bummer but it's an easy to use remote by feel.

What's hard to set up about it? I've been using mine for several years and set one up for my parents house as well. Backlighting would be nice, but I'd take this over one of their touchscreen remotes every day.

I grabbed another one for our last TV in the mud room and gym.
These things are perfect if you have Alexa and Google home for adding more automation throughout the house.
I already have two Ultimates and a keyboard and are indispensable for all of our equipment.
