I normally have terrible luck with BS and Target. At least with Walmart, BS's prices are correct. You may not actually be able to find what you're looking for, but if you do, it will be the price that BS says it will be. Can't say the same about Target, though.

That said, all stores in my area show stock and show the posted price, so maybe worth a shot this time.

Are these the original theatrical releases as the Fox execs intended it to be or the mangled Lucas editions?

Thanks op! My target had it on brickseek. I stopped by and it scanned $15. My son will be thrilled. I saw it at several targets in metro Detroit.

Heresy!

If it's not the good version that the Fox execs and Marcia meant it to be, why would anyone want to buy it?

I actually have Marcia's original releases in full THX. The only time it was released with that. This was right before the original negatives were destroyed to make the "enhanced" versions.

Does anyone know how to tell if the disc are stacked or not? I believe this version is available in both packaging versions.

I can tell you by the cover, nope it's not. Never will be either. That's why I downloaded the non bastardized edition.

These should be easy to find as they are still in their home locations in the sales floor and not on clearance endcaps. Any employee should be able to look it up as it is a located product

There is money to be made and a new owner, it will be done at some point, but who knows when.

Because not everyone is a Star Wars nerd, and they can look past Lucas's bastardized version of the trilogy.
