You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

I got this bonus already and received 50k UR points, transferred them to my ink business preferred card, then can use them however i want.

So assuming if we have ink business plus we'd still be eligible for the bonus on this card?

The Ink Business Plus is like 80k bonus and a very similar card! Seems a no brainier to go for that!
This one has better bonus categories for most people (5x for phone, cable, internet, and office supply stores including gift cards purchased there).

No reason you can't get both of course.

Quote from nodoubts2k :
UR points can be transferred to many airline partners.
Only if you also have a card that allows that (this card doesn't- so you'd need to move the points to another chase card that does, and then transfer them... this is easy so long as you have such a card)

In the past I have seen people mention they were able to get the offers matched by sending a secure message to Chase when logged in to your account. Given its only been two weeks, I'd guess your odds are pretty good unless something has changed. Good luck!

Thanks, kind of redundant to have both tho isnt it since bonus categories so similar?

UR points, you can transfer to CSR and make it worth more

Yes, use your SSN
I asked the same question, was given the same response. I applied with my SSN and it asks all kinds of business-related questions. How much revenue your business makes per year, what industry you're in, etc etc. I just pretended my wife was paying me rent each month and said I was in real estate. Got declined and my credit score is 800+. And no, I'm not over/close to the 5/24 rule or any other frequent user rule they may have. I attributed it to me using my social in place of a tax ID.

Categories on the ink cash are much better for me vs ink business preferred (cable/internet, gas stations, and restaurants). I got the cards for the bonus and will probably cancel the ink bus preferred and keep the ink cash.

edit: and phone bills!

It was 30k before (which is $300 if you take it as cash- but UR points is what they actually give you as the bonus)

Do you call recon to find out why you were turned down?

Using your social in place of a tax ID works just fine so long as you select sole proprietorship and use your name as the business name.

Quote from rsuryase :
I don't think so because it ask for your business information including tax id.

see above.
