You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

If I've singed up for say 7 or 8 various credit cards in the past 2 years, can I still get this card? Or can't I because of the 5/24 rule? I know business cards are a bit different.
If none are "store credit" one, then no you cannot. Only way I know is if you're pre-approved in a branch or if the BRM does paper application (has worked for other cards in the past).

Got this message after applying. I am thinking to wait rather than calling.

Thanks for Applying. Please call us as soon as possible at 1-800-243-6010 Mon-Fri 8am to 10pm EST to discuss your application with a Customer Support Specialist. We look forward to speaking with you.
Got the same message. Anyone know if this is basically a dead end? Info i entered was essentially legit except I'm a 1099, not a sole proprietorship. Thanks.

In the past I've gotten this verbiage because they wanted to shift my credit lines around to accommodate the new card

I called and the customer representative verified my identity and then took about 4 minutes to confirm and approve me. I have a Ink Preferred that is also based on sole proprietor.

I then asked for rush shipping of the card and was transferred to confirm my address.

Does anyone know if you can transfer the UR points to your individual non business card like a sapphire reserve?

Doesn't make much sense to considering the convenience fee charged when paying taxes with a credit card.

This Chase Ink Cash card is my favorite card out of ALL the Chase cards. I get 5X on Amazon, and many other retailers! And gas is 2X too and no annual fee. Ink preferred is only good for the initial bonus, it's not good for collecting points after that so you'd probably cancel when the AF hits for the 2nd year.
whoa, you really get 5x on Amazon purchases with this card? might be time to put away my Amazon Visa...

I plan to apply for the ink cash and the ink preferred. Should I apply for this first then the preferred at a later date? I currently have the ink plus.

Use this trick to get your Chase card number online while you wait for the physical card to arrive in the mail: http://thehoneymoonguy.com/get-ch...d-arrives/
I used this approach and so have several friends. It's worked perfectly! And not shady at all as it's via the Chase website/app.
