You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

1. What is the minimum business income you need before applying for this card ?

2. What is approval or denial chance if your business is just 1 year old ?

3. Can you use this card for personal use for just meeting minimum spending requirements and then solely use it for business?
1. Not very much. I got the higher end Ink Preferred claiming $1,000/yr business income, as a sole proprietor. YMMV if you are applying based on a more established or legit personal business.
2. 1 year should be fine.
3. Yes, realistically you can use the card for whatever mix of personal and business spending that you like, Chase doesn't care as long as you make your payments. If this card is being taken out based on a legitimate business, do be careful with how you use the card for personal expenses, not due to any issues with Chase, but with bookkeeping and other issues with your business.

Your #3 response regarding using the card for personal spend is your opinion and not an official stance by Chase. When you apply for the card, you certify that "This is a business account which shall be used only for business purposes and not personal, family or household purposes."

Business cards have less consumer protections so Chase has to tell you to keep biz/personal purchases separate for legal reasons, but Chase doesn't really care if you have personal purchases on there

A little confused if this is UR bonus or cash bonus. The website mentions cash back. Couple replies here states UR points

Called in and was initially denied.

Had her change my business name from "my ebay user name" to "my full name" and it worked.

A+

Same thing happened to me and it's been a few days still on the 30 days notice. Today I called 8002436010 to speak to a customer service, asked for whether not there is any missing information, and was approved instantly.

I just got denied. In the past I have successfully applied to the other Chase Ink cards and got approved. Called in and they couldn't approve me so they said they will send me documents that they need from me to approve me (papers proving i'm a business).

did you get denied cause you called? Or was it an instant denial?

I am not sure if I called it would help me or hurt me. What did they say when you asked?

Just call them. Best cause they just need to verify a question or two. Worst case they decline you. They would probably decline you anyways if they do it while you are on the phone with them. When I called they sent me a code on my cell phone for me to verify back to them. Put me on a two minute hold and came back and said I was approved.

Probably calling would be a good idea. The rep I got sounds like he's from some Indian call center. He verified my phone and got instantly approved. I asked if they can do expedited shipping and he transferred me to a more official rep from Chase. I suspect you can just hang up if it sounds like they'll ask more detailed questions

Wow... decided to call and everything you said happened word for word. Woman asked for me to verify my identity via a code to sent to my phone. Said she needed to put me one hold for a minute to review my application, then came back saying I was approved. Now its expedited to my address within 1-2 business days.

You sir have made my day..
