You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

just followed the steps people posted and got approved.
Applied wed, got the msg saying wait 30 days and will notify you by mail. got approved Friday (called automated to check status) then sent a secure message asking for expedited and its coming Monday.
Thanks. I too called the automated line yesterday and was told that I was approved. Also asked them to expedite shipping and getting it in couple of days.
Thanks everyone for your inputs

Checked with the support team and they confirmed that purchase of gift cards including Master card and Visa card will count towards $3000 requirement in case you are not able to spend this much amount in 3 months.

How long does it take to show up in account with other chase cards? I've had mine a week and still not showing.
Edit: Nvm, rep misinformed me, apparently have to make a business account.

Applied earlier today and got the "30 days" message. Has anyone actually got an instant approval for this card? Hoping to have the card in hand by the 18th to pay for LASIK.

I don't think so because it ask for your business information including tax id.

You can; just use SS. In PA sole proprietorships aren't even required to have an EIN, so SS is used on business tax forms also.

Chase business cards don't report to the credit bureaus.

Applied yesterday around 2, got the 30 day message. Called last night and it still said 30 days. Called today at 7am and it said approved. Pressed "0" to talk to a specialist and he said they would expedite the card and it will be here in 2-3 business days.

Once every 24 months (the 24 month clock starts when you get your previous bonus, not when you got the card itself)

Are you saying if I got my bonus today April, close my account two months later June. I can apply again on April 2020 and get the bonus. This whole time I thought the clock starts when I close my account.

Correct. It is Citi that goes by when you close the account, not Chase.
