You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

I applied for it and was denied. Reason being too many cards opened during last 2 years (just 3, definitely below 5/24 rule), and too high of combined credit limits. Called the recon line, same thing. Asked to lower my credit limit, but Chase rep replied can't do it. Any suggestions? Thanks
you can ask chase to drop the limit on opened chase cards, chase also has a 2/30 rule so you might fall into that.

follow this flow chart, its idiot proof.

dont open so many credit cards
their cards aren't excessive, theres something else at play. probably the 2/30 rule for chase also that he/she might not be factoring.

The Ink Business Plus is like 80k bonus and a very similar card! Seems a no brainier to go for that!
I think you're referring to the Ink Business "Preferred" that Forbes has ranked #1 [forbes.com] here, and I would agree. You can no longer apply for the Chase Ink "Plus". Hope this helps.

Increase fico score. I opened 7 cards in the past two years and was accepted. My fico score is in the far upper range.

A weeks ago, I applied for this card online and was denied (correctly) due to 5/24 rule. I thought I had an in-branch preapproval a few months back. Maybe, the preapproval was no longer there when I applied.

My question is if I have a pre-approval at a Chase branch now, can I reapply for the card? Or I have to wait for a certain amount of time? Thanks.

Applied last night... got the "need more time... notify within 30 days..." message/email from chase. Called the automated line and got the same response. I have a real business, but used my name and ssn on the app. Showed 150k revenue which is true. What should I do next?? TIA
edit: my fico is 820+ and below 5/24

Call again after a couple of days and you would get a response that it is approved.

Just applied and got a message saying Chase needed more time to review. I called 18002436010 and got the application approved and had them expedite that card. FYI, I also have the Chase Business Preferred card.
