You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

I have a question for those who have this card, what name do you use as the 'Name on the Credit Card' when making online purchases? Is it the business name or your name?
Personal name.

Before I bother applying, what have most people gotten as far as a starting credit limit?

I'm looking for high limit cards with 1.5% cashback or higher

Chase business cards will generally have lower credit limits than personal cards. I got a $7k limit for my CIC around the same time as getting a $24k starting limit on a personal Chase card.

I think it's entirely dependent on your business' income, your personal income also if you register as a sole proprietor, your credit score, and how much credit you already have with chase and in total with all creditors. My wife just applied for one and expects about 20,000 in revenue this year for her small personal business, they gave her a credit line of 17k, her last personal one she applied with Chase they gave her a 24k line back in March for the Freedom Unlimited, her other Business Unlimited is at 7k and she previously had Business Ink Preferred with a limit of 5k that she closed down already. Her score is like just above 700 and personal household income is around 110k when they asked as a sole proprietor. She doesn't have a lot of credit cards so that may factor into the higher limit.

What do you mean reported to business credit? If you mean will they look up the credit rating of your business, then yes. Business have a credit score also, but I think it's 1-100 not the max 850 scale, they base it off of credit history of the EIN number of the business. If you're applying as sole proprietor then the EIN is your SSN and they check business credit score and personal credit score when you apply. If that answers your questions, I'm not sure what the question is exactly.

If you buy expensive software, would it count towards the $3000 amount?

If whatever you buy, no matter what it is, counts as a credit charge and not a cash advance then it counts towards the bonus spend requirement.
