You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

Chase typically gives lower credit lines for their business cards than for personal cards, particularly if you are applying as a 'business' owner, so to speak.
Thanks for the reply. That's consistent with what I read on a few other sites. Oh well, I'm still excited to use this for 5% back on internet, cable and phone.

These cards don't work with Uber. Don't work with Apple Pay either.

Is this deal still active? If so, still good for non-business individual? I've been reading the thread and it seems like people had been able to enter their full name as their business and get qualified.

I have a $2,500 purchase coming up and would like to check if I can apply for this card and get the cashback!

Just applied for ink preferred for myself and for my wife. Put zero effort into bullshitting them, my business name was my own name, I make $1/yr, used my SSN, etc... I was approved and my wife was pending review.
I just tried the same thing and I was immediately declined...I was hoping for a pending review.

Applied, got the pending review notice. Waited two days and called. Got the approval, nice!

FYI I used my name as company name and SSN! ( this didn't work last year when I applied).

Why is this showing up on my front page when Chase is a Disliked store and Financial products are a disliked category? I didn't see these awful "posts" for a long time but now they're back with a vengeance.

you can't downgrade from a personal to a biz and vice versa. CSR is a great card, I have one as well and I don't mind the $150 for all the perks.

Since when CSR AF is $150? Last I checked it was $450.

I'm assuming they are subtracting the $300 travel credit.

I'm factoring in the $300 travel credit that is super easy to get.

I have 3 CC with chase not including my new Ink preferred card. I can see all my chase cards on my account except the ink account.

Is this because it's a business account? Anyone have any experience with this just taking time to appear or never does? TIA
