You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

Can I apply the Ink Cash and still get the sign up bonus if I already have a Ink Cash which was downgraded from a Ink Cash Preferred?

no, you will have to create a business login profile. After that you can send a secure message (or call) and they can connected the new business profile to your personal profile.

That's normal for Chase business cards.

No you have to wait 24 months. You can apply for a different Chase ink card though and get the bonus.

This is a tough one. Why don't you play it safe and apply for the ink plus.

are people able to use this on personal things and different groceries and other stores without any issues? i got the card and it says that this is a business card and cannot be used for personal use and there are different rules governing business card. has anybody faced any issues when using for personal expenses? i know i applied for business card just asking how much do they monitor and if they are very sticky on these rules.

Use your name as business name and SSN. I made up another business name and was auto rejected. Tried it again with my name and auto approved.

What should be put for "Business name on card". Should it be same as "Legal name of business". TIA

If you have a real business, then use it's exact name as it's legally registered. Chase will likely ask for proof from a legal entity, Tax ID proof, proof of business address, etc, etc, etc.

If you apply as a sole proprietor use your exact legal name. Don't add anything to it.

Even if you have a real business, it's usually much easier to apply as a sole proprietor using your own name.
