You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

If one applied it before, can s/he receive the bonus points again and how to check whether one ever had this card before?

Got Approved for 14,500 :-) Applied after reading the comments from this thread. Thanks folks for your tips.

Those who are wondering yes you can apply for both Chase Ink Business Unlimited Card and Chase Ink Business Cash Card. I applied for Chase Ink Business Unlimited Card Last month got approved for 13.5k and already received the $500 bonus for it. My Credit Score is just little above 700. I paid off my chase freedom card to zero and chase sapphire below 30% to keep the utilization very low it may be helped not sure. I Have a LLC registered under my name which is not active any more.. i used its EIN. And also i have a ebay business which makes gross about $80-90k (not profits) / year. Let me know if you have any questions ? Good Luck !

What was the exact gap (days) between your two apps?

I applied for Chase Ink Business Unlimited Card last week of November and for Chase Ink Business Cash Card on Jan 3rd so i would say roughly 35-40 days. Both are approved instantly with in few seconds with out any wait time or phone calls. Based on my previous chase applications i think utilization ratio of chase cards plays a big role compared to credit score.

This is a great deal on that card.

My wife has both this card and the Ink Business Preferred under her name, so yes you can have both.

Anyone unfamiliar with Chase Ultimate Rewards and how they use them should do some research. It's a great program, especially when redeeming the points for travel through Chase or transferring to partners and redeeming that way. Redeeming for cash is the worst way to use UR points.

My question is this - does this card count towards the Chase 5/24 rule?

Why is cash the worst way to redeem points?

It isn't. Redeeming them on Amazon is.

Certain Chase cards (with annual fees) will let you redeem points with +25% or +50% bonus using their travel portal (e.g. 50k points = $500 cash back or $750 on the Sapphire Reserve travel portal), or transfer 1:1 with other points partners for even more potential value . I've only ever done the former though. I believe their travel portal is powered by Expedia and doesn't get marked up from what you would find on other online travel sites.

Applied last week and got my card in the mail today. Going to use it to pay for my hotel for a trip overseas and hopefully get the $500 back soon. Thanks for the heads up on this promo!

Not necessarily. Sometimes they have a $15 off $50 or similar if you use UR points. So using 1 UR gets you $15 off at amazon. But yes normally using UR at amazon is terrible.

This might have been answered here, but I have a Chase Sapphire Reserve. If I open this card, can I move the 50k points to my CSR?

Can a Amex gift card be counted as a purchase towards the spent money for the bonus or is it a no go?

Yes, Chase is very lenient with what counts towards SUBs.

What's SUBs? - Sorry but I assume your answer is that an AMEX gift card will be okay and count towards the spending requirement?
