decided to buy it. Last years model with the QHD screen, 8th gen i7, 256 nvme .. Seems fantastic for my needs.
Also regarding the 8550u being 1.8ghz.. I'm pretty sure that's the norm for ultrabooks.
This is an AMAZING price when compared to purchasing through Dell direct or anywhere else. I wasn't able to get Dell to price out anything close to these specs for less than $1300, even after looking at outlet, refurb, and scratch and dent. The touch screen was the biggest thing that jumped the price up through Dell. I also tried a ton of corporate purchasing program discounts and nothing would get even close to the Microsoft store price.
I actually purchased this last week at the $1062 price and just called MSFT to get an adjustment to the new $999 price. I've been using the older version of this (9350) at work for the past year and I can't say enough positive things about it.
