The one from Walmart is larger and can hold 960 lb verse the one from Academy that can only hold 600 lb. The one from Walmart also has a built-in bench and desk.
These aren't hard to put together if you organize the wood first. I found this to be the hardest part. You spend half your time searching for the correct part. I was able to build then windale version which is all wood by myself, over the course of two weekends. The wood is cedar and it's pretty soft. Just have a set of sockets and some basic tools and you will be ok. To add...these are not going to last more than 4 years...
3 things:
1. Great deal, not supposed to be spending money, but, well, you know...
2. Free pickup? Do I need a monster rig for it to fit? Probably not in the sedan. LMAO
3. Rokket, I thought you were retired??? Glad you aren't!

Isn't this similar to this one? Which is $299 every day and frequently on sale for $199

I have 11' w x 20' L section of my house. Do you think I'll have enough space?

I'd avoid these kinds of sets unless you can inspect in person. Mine good a good lean to it after the first good wind. A lot of boards developed splits after a few seasons. After it tipped over in a storm a threw it away. Built my own out of pressure treated boards and actual bolts for less money and I don't have to worry about it collapsing with all three kids on the swings.

I have had this model now for about 3 years now. Overall good experience and kids still play with it and sturdy. Does take some time to put together but was a fun project.

We have one almost exactly like this. It's probably around 5 years old now. It only took about a year for the paint to start flaking off, but besides that its held up pretty well. I agree that when you get multiple decent-sized kids on it at once, it can start rocking back and forth. However, ours came with spikes down into the ground, and it seems to have held it okay for now. Overall I would buy another one. I'd love to find one that went up taller like a treehouse.
