Price Analysis Bottom Line

This may be a great deal to you if:

you consider the $5 PayPal card the same as cash;
the online rebate isn't a hassle; and
visiting a local Walmart isn't an issue.

With the $5 online rebate, each wipe is 2.51 cents. My personal "purchase point" for disinfecting wipes is higher at 2.77 cents per wipe.

Purchase Point Adjustments in 2018

My purchase point is based on frequency and availability of deals. (Local and regional stores that may appear in the spreadsheet are not factored into the purchase point calculation.)
My purchase point was adjusted from 2.5 cents to 2.77 cents in early 2018. There is a high chance the purchase point will be adjusted again in 2018, as disinfecting wipes have seen a wide-scale price increase since fall 2017.

Detailed Price Tracking

For price tracking information, history, and other details, please feel free to check out this spreadsheet of mine; the highlighted blue row is this particular deal.

General Note

I am not comparing apples to apples, so to speak, and this brand may usually have a higher price than some other brands. Of course, there may be other, more personalized factors to consider, including warehouse club memberships; shipping fees; product quantities; subscription programs such as Amazon's Subscribe & Save and Target's Subscriptions; convenience of stores and locations; and availability of cashback programs.

I hope this helps,

This is a great breakdown, wish this was on every post

Also need to take into account that you must drive to the store and pick up, so YMMV

Good point. In my General Note section, I had already listed factors such as "convenience of stores and locations." However, your input makes sense, so I added "visiting a local Walmart isn't an issue" in the first sentence of the analysis.

Thank you very much for sharing your opinions!

If you don't care about brand and you have a Sams club membership you can get the 4 pack Member's Mark at 2.89 cent per wipe. For the whole 4 pack it will cost you 83 cent more.

Thank you for the information.

I'm hoping Costco will have their own Kirkland Signature-branded disinfecting wipes at some point. I have yet to see a Sam's Club in my life, so Member's Mark items generally aren't available to me, unfortunately.

Costco does have their own brand, comes in a 4 pack. That is unless they got rid of them but I remember buying them except they came in bags instead of canisters.

Oh, right, thanks for jogging my memory. Costco does have Kirkland Signature wipes in soft packaging [costcobusinessdelivery.com] that each contain much fewer wipes per package. I've done quick, on-the-spot price comparisons in the past and they were more expensive than Clorox and Lysol wipes when the latter two are on sale.

Hopefully, Costco will lower the prices of those packages or put them into tubes to directly compete. I get the feeling that there's probably a clause they signed with Clorox and Lysol to not directly compete for the time being.

Isn't Walmart also running a special for ordering $35 of items for "store pickup"? I believe you get an additional $5 off.

Hmm, the earlier post didn't mention the limit of one per order, and the rebate terms do not either. I placed one single order with a quantity of 2. Should I cancel the order, then place two additional orders of 1 quantity each?

Thanks,
