Suzanne choked when it came to relaying that info to her team. She should have listened to Tennile.
Iagree

I think she should have gone up for it. They have to be able to work as a team in the kitchen, not have one person keeping all the info to themselves and making the rest work in the dark... and wtf was up with the baked/broiled/whatever lobster tail? The woman specifically said grilled. Doh

I could not understand wat was goin on with them either. Tenille is a loud mouth, do-nothin. Should have ditched her instead. Do you think they will do the merge next week?
I agree with that opinion of Tenille. Actually she was doing OK last night but I cant over the fact in earlier episodes she was really screwing up and telling people to get screwed when she was really messing up when other people were giving her really good advice repeatedly in a gentle way. She was stubbornly refusing to listen as the team went down (scallops) . And then she turns around and tries to bulldoze her way into someone elses station when they are having problems and bashes them like crazy for not taking her advice (the steaks). She was so abrasive, I kind of hoped she would go down, though clearly performance-wise she wasn't the worst on that episode.

I think the contestants also exaggerated how bad Suzanne did too. Based on the previews I thought she forced them to do something crazily different from what the soldiers family wanted but it wasn't THAT different and the guy's wife seemed to like both team's dishes. A lot of people point to the spicy aspect of the male team's dish but didnt one of the early spicy dishes lose? I think it was only the main dish which didnt feature grilled lobster tail that was kind of different and I think it still had lobster tail, just not grilled.

That's a good point. Suzanne was an idiot for making them lose the challenge.
However, that's usually not how eliminations work. Usually it's the preson that screws up the most on dinner service.

In the end, didn't Tek get sent home? That's a good call, considering she screwed them on the steaks.

If this was a real reality show (not staged), the men would simply crush the entire Red team. They just don't have their act together, while the men do.
However, since this is staged drama, I'm going to predict the men fall apart next week and the women win. That's one thing I don't like about this show. After the obvious morons are eliminated, they will stage an episode where someone that has previously been great just falls apart (Like Bobby in season 4).

I agree with the other poster, that this was a pretty mediocre episode. Maybe the show is just getting too repetitive. A lot of time was spent on filler, like seeing Mrs Ramsey, the guys flying, etc. No real drama on the men's side this week. (The best they could do was the steak guy was mad at someone helping him?)

Tenille is this season's Jen. She will last in the competition for quite awhile. Her teammates will hate her. She'll be back in the final challenge to annoy people.

This is true. His wife wasn't exactly bad to look at though. I kinda liked her accent. Better than ghetto slang I suppose.

The spicy dish that lost was an appetizer and it lost to the salad the girls made.

Roll
I like the narrator.

Also, Ramsey's wife was pretty hot from what I could tell. Lucky man. Didn't see her teeth though...... Scratchchin

I honestly think the only reason the salad won was because it was his wife making the decisions. Had the solider been there, I am pretty sure he would have picked that spicy seafood dish from the men.

True, the guys should have won all 3 of them.

When they showed the previews and he was having another "heart issue" I went off on a rant how it is people like him that cause medical care to be so costly. They take no responsibility for their health and are such a drain on medical resources.

I started smoking when I was working as a
cook. Helps to ease the stress of a busy kitchen.
Im paranoid about cancer and of course other things but especially cancer now after reading up on various health problems. I never thought of it before but came across some concern about cooks in the kitchen inhaling lots of smoke from cooking everyday. They say it may contribute to head and neck/throat cancer which afflicts people who drink alcohol, smoke or get certain viruses.

Im a lot more paranoid about secondhand smoke now too and having a weakened immune system. After reading up about chemo its like having HIV and now I appreciate the horrible problems HIV sufferers have in avoiding all common infections and other problems. It seems like one of the big problems with old age it seems is their immune system weakens opening them up to all kinds of problems like cancer, heart disease and other diseases.

Jim was just a bit too zen for my taste and I'm glad he's finally gone. His fate was sealed when Scott had to take over - I don't ever remember seeing that before so late in a season.

Looks like Robert is coming back next week too - you can catch him in the back of the men's line in the previews. That was absolutely great that they actually tried to throw him off without being a part of the service. I knew that was going to blow up in their faces, I just wish that GR had really gone after them for it.
