I personally think this game is worth closer to $20-25.
It's a visually-pleasing game and fun over short periods of time. But this isn't something that most people would get hours of play out of. Expect to play a few matches here and there, then want to put it away. All you do is punch an opponent. Nothing more to it.
OP might want to add that if you have mynintendo you get back two dollars in gold coins which can now be used towards eShop purchases
Awhile back they had the demo version of this game for free for a weekend. After playing it for 10 minutes, I lost interest and deleted it. I wouldn't drop $40+ on this.

Seems like a lot for a game that doesn't seem to have much depth but maybe the game is great

From what I've seen, if you wanna play a friend on the big screen, you need two sets of joycons.
No, you can play on a single JoyCon, even in dock mode.

I thought this was a well designed game, but it's simply not for me.

I just can't see buying it for $40... I don't know if I would buy it any price... I don't have time for motion games. I am very active and when I play games, I don't want to have to jump around.

I forget the exact buttons, but one button launches your right hand, another launches your left hand, and you hit both to launch both and do a grab. Once you launch the arm, you control its movement with your stick.
