this cpu is fantastic. I heard the 2nd gen is significantly better so do some research and base your decision on your use and budget. I paid $300 for this 6 months ago and I'm very happy with it. equipped with a sapphire radeon nitro+ rx 580 and a 144hz freesync monitor. I tried warframe and fortnite it ran both with ease. 120 - 140 FPS on ultra and I did not overclock or tweak anything.

I also use it for streaming ps4 + switch and it puts out top quality video

even if you don't play games it's a great CPU for productivity. if you use a lot of different programs at the same time that are CPU intensive it is very good at multitasking

Sadly the ram needed to keep 8 cores busy costs more than this. I'll probably pick this up when ram drops.
