No projector does, and no projector ever will. Dolby Vision requires local dimming and panel mapping which are both impossible to achieve with front projection.
Its apples to oranges, but as technological fruit, the point was people want technology that doesn't exist.

Not merely, I'm holding out for A instead of B. But I'm holding out for C even though it doesn't exist now or anytime in the near future.

Folks wanting Dolby Vision in a tech that can't support it by nature are the same folks that want 120hz 4k TVs with zero content above 30fps using an HDMI standard that hadn't been finalized.

Don't even enter the conversation- it's all fantasy based since these posts are for current, real deals. Not theoretical assumptions and wishes.
This doesnt use a RGBRGB color wheel like the 727

sooo quite a bit worse color accuracy and way more rainbow effect.. but will be brighter as a result?

http://www.projectorcentral.com/V...review.htm

this would be a hot deal for 727, thats the one you want in your home, unless you want to use this in a really bright living room and dont care aboutrainbow effects

edit: deal is good for 727 too, OP you should update the title and stuff, this is super hot for the 727. Viewsonic themselves says the 727 is meant for your home cinema and the 747 is more meant for things like a conference room where lumens is really the most important factor.

Also something to note all .47" 4k projectors will project a black RGB color several inches wide around the entire screen so its highly recommended that you use velvet borders o your screen

While it does support HDR-10, I couldn't find any mention of Dolby Vision.

Edit: Nevermind. Post above explains why.

Updated, thanks. Saw the 727 but didn't know about the differences in the color wheels between the two.

Is this a sign that 4K projectors are about to hit the market in mass? I hope so.

It's possible eventually if we somehow get affordable laser projectors like they use for Dolby Cinema. But those projectors aren't going to be affordable for a long time.

There are commercial front projectors that currently support dolby vision. Tone mapping is possible on a front projector, the issue is that it is specific to each individual projector capabilities and screen size and gain. It is only a matter of time until consumer projectors figure out how to input this information.

That being said, just because an item can decode Dolby Vision, doesnt mean it would ever be able to actually display real HDR. Even a top Dolby commercial projector would not match the HDR picture quality of a current OLED TV.

BTW, is it of 2200 or 3500 Lumens ? There is no version of this with 2200 lumens on official website? Is it a typo?
